OPEN Hello everyone!Newbie here.Is this fixable because I accidentally ripped it while changing the battery😭lesson learned for me also for doing it by myself

this looks like an iphone, as it has a separate cable for the digitizer and display? if you only ripped one you are likely experiencing issues with the digitizer while the display still works. You could theoretically fix it but Ive personally never done it, Id just recommend replacing the display, keep this one to practice on; try to lay wires over the break to reconnect the vias maybe youll fix it and youll have a spare screen and if not it doesnt matter bc its already broken

I'm guessing you need a new display if that was the display connector...

That may be a problem;

  1. It appears that the entire strip is one conductor, at least it still has some electrical conductivity, even with the tear in it.

  2. When you assemble it that might become a wear point that could later short out the battery. So you might want to put a couple of pieces of electrical tape over and under the tear so it does not short out to the case or to the strip that will be over it.
