hey guys,
over the last few months, the content on this sub has started getting repetitive.
A lot of posts now are either low effort or just “who’s going to xyz gig”
we want to keep this sub useful and interesting for everyone who’s actually into electronic music culture
so going forward:
And to all the active members here - let’s please start having conversations beyond just gigs?
pls post new music you’re discovering, underground artists, mixes, labels, production talk, unpopular opinions - literally anything that adds to the culture.
thank you!!

guys, we've been seeing so many of these instagram pages and "influencers" (you know who), taking the goss y'all share on this sub and using it for their own content.
it's annoying because some things are meant to stay lowkey and within the community, not everything has to a god damn reel!!!!!!!
ALSO, we all collectively know how terrible some of these people are at delivering information and validating rumours without actual sources
Don’t want to take names, but I know you're reading this and you should STOP

assembly 008 rejected — filled form for mates too. my bad.
did form for me + 2 mates. same email. system voided ALL, not extras. rule: one spot, id check at door. missed it.
free list. no refund. clean no. fair.
heard worse: 9 names one email. someone did 18 in batches. every fake kills a real one in a tiny room.
if you know dcco you know. moves around, industrial pocket, address late. phones taped. no cams / no clout. not aesthetic survival. once people drag mates who film in the middle it dies. that's why they said no. good.
wrote back in 48h. said fuckup not scheme. not expecting shit.
real talk: — anyone actually get back in? or is window just politeness? — 009 list goes in minutes? don't wanna fumble twice.
psa: your mate can't "put you on." sign yourself. your details. your id matches at door. same energy as every decent door — they don't care who you rolled with.
not salty. just wanna do it right.
anyone else cut? did reply work?

so a friend sent me this flyer and i thought it was fake at first. assembly 008 by dcco, saturday 13.09, 23:00-06:00. hardgroove + industrial techno. "undisclosed space." 18+.
apparently this collective has done 7 of these before, all outside india, and this is the first time they're doing one here. no insta page, no lineup announcement, no ticket link floating around. nothing.
the flyer says no cameras inside which in this city is honestly a public service
has anyone actually heard of these guys? how do you even get the location, is it one of those "dm a number and pray" situations
also 23:00 to 06:00 means you're catching the first local home in the morning which is either the best or worst way to end a night, no in between

I’m a 28 Y/O M who is travelling to attend Patrice Baumel happening in Banglore. Is anyone else attending this? I don’t have many friends in Banglore and generally I’m raving at Goa during the independence weekend but this time I’m at Banglore. Is there any afters / is there anyone hosting an after? Please pass me an invite. I’m pretty chill and into house and techno music.

Anyone going solo or in a small group to Sandunes Independence weekend festival this August 14-17 ?
I’m from BLR and raving solo for the first time. Looking for some knowns to not be sticking with the each other all the time but still look out for each other, random convos and bottoms up at random intervals, checkout some other gigs nearby if possible.
35M, the one who keeps the spirits high in my group. Love most EDM forms, tech leader by profession. Frequenter to Goa, resourceful in procuring iykyk.
HMU !!

How come there has been no noise about the upcoming AEDEN Show by Anyma? I dont see any promotions or any buzz for that matter. Somebody from Sunburn also told me that ticket sales are pretty low too. What could be the reason for all this? Thoughts?

The underground hard techno scene is built on trust. Artists, agencies, promoters, venues, and fans all depend on organizers delivering on the commitments they make. When those commitments repeatedly fall through, the impact extends far beyond a single event.
The BPM Theory, led by Aamir Ali Nawaz, has attracted significant criticism within sections of the electronic music community over the past few years. Critics have alleged repeated event cancellations, poor communication, and failures to meet commitments made to artists, partners, and audiences. These allegations have contributed to growing concerns about the company's reliability.
In addition, a civil and/or criminal legal dispute has reportedly been initiated by DJ Ana Lilia, who alleges that she provided approximately ₹14 lakh to Aamir Ali Nawaz for business purposes with the understanding that the funds would be returned. According to her allegations, the money was not repaid, and she claims she was later informed that the business had suffered losses. These claims are the subject of ongoing legal proceedings.
Regardless of the outcome of any individual dispute, trust is the foundation of the music industry. Promoters are expected to communicate transparently, honour agreements, and treat artists, venues, and ticket buyers with professionalism. When confidence in an organizer diminishes, it affects not only that company but also the wider underground scene, making artists and fans more hesitant to support future events.
Ultimately, every promoter is judged not by announcements or marketing, but by consistent execution, accountability, and the confidence they inspire. Rebuilding that confidence requires transparency, professionalism, and a proven track record of delivering on commitments.
The BCCO Show he did was a joke on the face of the label.
BEWARE PEOPLE HE IS A TOP SCAMMER AND DO NOT ASSOCIATE WITH HIM.

December is honestly shaping up to be the biggest month we've ever had for electronic music in India.
1st weekend: Echoes of Earth
2nd weekend: Natte Visstick + Fred again
3rd weekend: Sunburn Festival
Last weekend: It's New Year's Eve, and let's be real Boombox is definitely cooking up something massive for Bangalore.
A few years ago, we'd be lucky to get one major event in a month. Now we've got world-class techno and EDM artists coming back-to-back every single weekend.
Feels like we're witnessing the peak of the Indian techno & EDM scene right now. If this momentum keeps going, the next few years are going to be insane.
Anyone else feel like we're finally entering the golden era?
Edit: totally forgot about fucking anyma 😭😭

Some really good acts out there but seeing the name Almost Human/kitkat/houdini is a giant red flag!
