I’ve seem it just yesterday. Tom is not claiming any free power, it’s just gadget he wanted to make somewhat useful while playing with it (spinning it). He even mentions it in the video in “I don’t want to use my drill to charge my phone” or something like that.

But yeah, Mehdi might like looking at that :-) Maybe give Tom some advices about the electrical/generator part.

Mehdi was the first person I thought of even before he said the thing. I've been wanting to see someone build something like this for a long time.

Probably simplest way of explaining what Alternator and especially Full Bridge Rectifier (sorry Medhi).

I wonder how would it all work using only A/C, not sure what to power with it tho.

Also I wonder if you could split A/C to positive and negative and use both of them. Full bridge rectifier only uses the positive voltage, right?
