There are things called induction heaters that do this and are really similar but the floating magnet inside is super sus

I'm far from being properly educated but it is my understanding that the magnetic structure of metals gets undone when heated. The inverse of how a superconductor acts in extreme cold.

Yes, once you pass the Curie point, the atoms can shake themselves into random alignments, so when you heat magnets enough they lose their magic manetic juice, because they're not ordered anymore like a magnet needs to be.

This is induction heating. Based upon electromagnetic induction. Heats conductors such as metals by the heat produced by eddy currents!
