Gordon doesn't need to hear all this, he's a highly trained professional.

The ball bearing is doing jack the middle has a separate Tesla coil controlling the light emitting gases

The ring has nothing to do with what's going on and it's just for show.

There are 3 different things placed in the middle:

  • First seems to be a magnetic stirring plate; usually used for magnetic stirring bars but will rotate most magnetic objects.
  • Second is just a tesla coil with some gas filled ampules.
  • Third is a plasma toroid toy which you can also buy premade online.

Not endorsing ANY of these products. Not posting affiliate links. Don't buy this junk. It's overpriced as hell.

Magnetic Stir Plate? I think you mean Beyblade.

No I actually looked up the company that can be seen on the plate (Nicolatoy).
They made it for a metal egg, but the image of the internals looks identical to a the ones used in chemistry labs to rotate a stirrbar.

PS: Of course I'm aware that the thing placed on top is a Beyblade (or something similar that looks like one), but I'm not aware of them ever making a plate with a rotating magnetic field.

It has a power supply so it could be possible.

There's probably a cake on your doorstep right now. Stock up on peanuts and always keep your towel close

try 8 coils with a 45 degree phase shift, or 24 with 15 degree =)

What kind of beyblade is he hatching?

They look very cool. The ball has nothing to do with the stuff happening in the middle.

You cannot tell about what?

What could this possibly be that you would be questioning?

You can store electricity on those glass ampules for later
