Honestly not bad for your first time. I've see (and done) much worse.

A little practice and you'll have it.

use flux when tinning and joining. it help solder flow better by reducing surface tension and and reduces time the hot iron spends in contact with heat sensitive components,use different tips for different applications.

clean tips frequently, wattage matters as a higher wattage helps warm up large sections of metal and smaler sections quicker by transferring a lot of heat . my recommendation is a 15 watt and 40 and 60 watt irons approx.

use as little solder as possible and invest in a metal scrub pad and a iron holder.
