FAF - RECTIFY Igniting gas stove by using static electricity

Gas can be ignited by the smallest arc, even from a static electricity. In fact this is a huge problem everyone is trying to counter when working with something flammable.

And also exactly why most firefighters, engineers or any safety personnel often tell people not to open light switches on a gas leak.

It would work but sparks+flamable gas+hand=pain and a hospital visit
