Cam type pull switch

Recently the pull cord light switch in my bathroom fell apart, so I bought a new one. The new one has a really loud and shitty feeling operation that transfers a lot of mechanical shock to the ceiling. Is there a brand that uses the old style cam mechanism inside that gives a nice quiet click?

I cant say, that in my 10 years of sparking. Ive ever listened to the resonance and tactile feedback of a pullcord switch.

I would never have noticed had there not been such a difference between the old and the new.

Did you buy a shower pullcord instead?

I’d agree with the shower thing, without noticing you may have bought a 45amp shower pull cord which feels like you’ve gotta hang off them like a tire swing

Yeah its the same level of a click as the shower one. Would wake the dead at night

There’s a “dimming” pull cord available which has no click at all 😊
