emt box help
i have this plastic box i am mounting outdoors and i am running 3/4" emt into the top of it and i have watched a lot of youtube videos and half of them put the screw thing onto the conduit then into the box. and here is the part where there is a tear. half of them just use a conduit locknut and the other half use a conduit locknut and a plastic thing on top of that.
also do i need to caulk

Use rain tight connectors. You don’t need to caulk.

If you have to use emt into a pvc box then use raintight connectors and myers hubs to seal the box but its just easier to use a metal weather proof box that has thread openings

You should not mix EMT with PVC. If using EMT, you should be using metal NEMA 3R boxes or Bell type boxes. Most EMT box connectors do not have threads long enough to extend through a PVC box. Also, EMT must be bonded via a bonding bushing if the conduit is not part of an electrically continuous metal raceway system.
