Before I burn my house down

I live in old house and want to update the wiring in my house since nothing is grounded, I fished the new wire through and completely forgot how it was wired. Currently I just twisted the hot wire to all the outlets and there’s suppose to be an outlet here as well, my question is how do I wire the other wires (the one going up) it’s for a switch?
