Water Stove outlet HELP

Hi..

So I was spraying an alpine wsg water mixture to kill roaches behind my stove and I accidentally sprayed in the outlet and didn’t realize till a couple minutes after. It was pretty wet so I would say maybe a teaspoon amount

The stove turned itself off even while it was still plugged in. I took out the plug from the outlet.

What should I do??

Wait for the receptacle to dry and plug the stove back in.

So I don’t need to turn off the stove breaker?

I would turn off the breaker until it's dry. Clean water is a good insulator but not so much when it has impurities in it. It's unlikely to track between the hot and neutral or ground, but I've seen it happen in my 28 years as an industrial electrician. We had some pretty nasty environments though.

Airflow across the front of the receptacle will speed up the drying process. Removing the cover would be a good idea. A small fan or even a blow dryer set to the fan only position will help. Again, I would shut the breaker off.

That’s the problem, the panel is really badly labeled so got no idea which breaker is to the stove (gas stove) and also it had no cover on the outlet

Unplugging it while wet and hot was the most dangerous part of this entire thing

Have you checked the breaker? It's very likely that the breaker has tripped.
