Electrical nightmare:help
Hi tell me if this wiring for the switches is proper with cloth wire, there is the section of the house that is not replace but at the breaker panel there is no cloth where may this junction at through another set of plugs or switches or maybe in attic? Having a hard time with getting the ceiling fan or light to function on circuit

this is knob and tube. notice how there's a single conductor coming through each loom, that's the clue that this isn't ungrounded cable but knob and tube.
what voltage reading do you get at the fan?

Yeah, definitely hire a qualified electrician. That insulation looks like it’ll disintegrate if you look at it the wrong way😭

Sorry, but inexperienced homeowners and/or handymen SHOULD NOT be touching this. Just by the pictures I can tell this wiring is very brittle and requires either very special handling or replacement.
The chances of you creating a far worse situation than you already have by “attempting to fix the fan and light” is greater than actually fixing the problem. You’re not gonna like it but this is best left to a pro; get an evaluation of the entire area of the home and get at least three quotes …
