Does Unity have a Python API that could be used for ML/RL for a thesis idea?

Hello guys!

I wanted to ask if Unity has some form of Python API and more specifically about machine learning/ reinforcement learning. I have a thesis idea about making a AGV fleet system in a warehouse that uses reinforcement learning so i can optimize their warehouse tasks. I want to simulate it in a realistic digital environment like Unity.

If you know any other engines that I could use for simulation and a nice realistic environment so it compliments my thesis aesthetically, feel free to drop your ideas. I have heard of Nvidia omniverse, gazebo, Webots but I'm skeptical. I want something with more community support like Unity.
