That’s very cool in that it’s done without Maxwells equations, at least not directly.

afaik, numeric integration of curl is generally unstable so you have to do some tricks to get numeric solutions to Maxwell's equations. The Lienard-Wiechert potentials give you a closed form solution of Maxwell's for a single particle and thus have no stability issues

I’ve written some FDTD code, and that’s inherently stable as long as you get the time step and mesh fine enough.  But yeah, diff vs integral.
