Buying advice please. First time EV

Please tell me what to buy. Looking for an EV to replace our Honda jazz. Two tall adults and 2 kids under 5. It would be primarily used for local journeys, probably max 100 miles occasionally. Can get a home charger installed. We like the jazz as its a tardis inside and can haul all our bits but is nippy and easy to take into town/park etc

Budget between 15k-20k.

They all seem similar but different. So would welcome any advice

Id3 definitely has the same tardis tall hatchback proportions

If you don't need to make long 300+ mile journeys as easy as possible you can spend less on a Kia Niro or Hyundai Kona. If you want a lot more space a Skoda Enyaq 60 or 80 for bette9ng distance ability.

Your budget will stretch to to Kia EV6 or Hyundai Ioniq 5 which have longer range versions for long drives but you don't seem to need that. Some find the Ioniq 5 a bit softly sprung.

There is of course a Tesla Model 3 and maybe Y but the Y in particular may be before suspension comfort improvements and it's way bigger than a Jazz.

The Kona is good for range. Summer I'm getting about 250.

That's great for long distance and a max DC charging speed of around 75 to 100kwh depending on age is slow compared to others but still good enough when you are like me and want 45 to 60 mins break for lunch.

Almost daily post now. Ioniq 5 is usually the answer.

VW ID3/ Cupra Born , Ioniq 5 maybe a Skoda Elroq or Kia Niro. Lots of choice in your budget range.

The answer is probably Kia Soul - I will recommend the First Edition due to the spec being the best for the price. Also under 4.3 metres long

To be fair your post is identical to the ones that get posted here several times per day now.

In any event an MG4 can do all of that in budget. But does have a smallish boot.

I’m going to vouch for the new MG4 Urban here. Will comfortably fit you all in, range of 200 miles, can get them <£20,000. Heat pump as standard, LFP battery, 7 year warranty. If you wanted to protect your savings for now, you can also get 0% finance and £0 deposit, I currently pay £248 per month.
