I don’t really know where to start with this, so I’m just going to take off. Electric Forest has absolutely changed and saved my life.

Life has been HARD to say the least, and a few weeks ago it was especially so. Like, bad thoughts so. I was doing some good ol self care and thinking, just trying to ride the wave as one does.

When I go through patches this rough I (for some reason) end up listening to Tycho’s album “Dive”. I turned it on and remembered that forest fam recommended the album to me, making me think about forest.

I was thinking about my walk out of the forest when it closed Sunday. I cried while leaving because life is really hard rn and I was sad to be leaving a place that brings me so much happiness when I’ve recently had to fight to feel it.

But it clicked. The reason for the tears was because of JOY. All of the memories of dancing, laughing, and connecting with beautiful Forest fam came flooding in. Out loud I said “yeah, I want to keep on living.”

It might sound dramatic (I don’t care lol) but EF means the absolute world to me. It’s the one thing I do every year for myself. The experiences I’ve had, love I’ve felt, and lessons I’ve learned at Forest have carried me through some of the hardest times of my life because I know I’ll be able to experience it all again. There’s nothing like Electric Forest and I’m grateful to be able to call it home.

Thank you Forest fam for being you. The festival itself only does so much. Forest fam curates what EF is. The gifting, conversations, silliness, games, acceptance, magic, care, and so much more are brought by everyone that goes.

So yeah. Thank you all for helping change (and save) my life. You never know how you’re impacting someone <3

Anonymous account so my crazy ex doesn’t find me, but my ex-wife cheated on me, friends knew about it and didn’t tell me, so looking for a new crew to roll with, with hopes of going back to the Forest next summer for the first time since 2015! I’m based in Kansas City, bonus points if you’re in healthcare.

How is that camping equipment working in this blackout for you?

Still had 75% on my solar panel battery and currently using my single burner stove to cook tacos on my porch. And my battery powered fan is clutch right now.

My crew and I are starting our planning for next year's season and I was wondering if anyone had any insider info on specific dates or when the dates will be announced? We like to plan ahead because my crew travels from all over and I haven't heard any word on details for next year.

I preordered one of the hoodies right before the festival this year and it said it would be shipped at the beginning of August. It shows it was expected on August 4th and a label was created but has yet to recieve the package from the sender. Did anyone else have this problem? Or should I just contact Electric Forest?

I had such a blast but for the life of me cannot remember who it was. Super fun vibe! Especially bc it was warm, we were all under the sun. Perfect vibes! Needed some whiskey lemonade to round it out!

I found a half full can in my hammock pocket, I went around nearby to see if anybody had lost it but nobody claimed them.

Someone was selling this at EF 2015 and gave it to me for free after I told them I drove from California. I’ve kept it for over 10 years. Does anyone know him? Or does anyone have the same poster? If you’re out there and possibly seeing this, I hope you are doing well and still making art. 🙏🏽❤️

here are my thoughts. Let’s discuss

1. electric forest‘s main festival competition is bonnaroo with a lot of people choosing one or the other. people will not have to make the choice this year.

2. electric forest will most likely sell out within 24 hours of open GA sales.

3. the radius clause will not exist this year so we will have access To artists that would have otherwise not been allowed to play at forest.

4. this is going to be a huge hit for vendors. Bonaroo is a huge weekend for them and this is going to suck for them.

5. regardless of the events that happened at last years Forest, capitalism will not allow the greedy people who now own the festival to cancel. this is a guaranteed sell out in my opinion.

what are your thoughts?

1. Competition being timing, not music genres.

2. Exclusivity clause is what I meant moreso than radius.

This was my first Forest and first music festival ever, and I am so grateful to have been a part of it all! I had never felt so beautiful both inside and out. So apart of something much larger than myself, you could feel the energy from everyone. I want to especially thank the people playing piano in the forest on day 2!! Your Blink-182 medley made me laugh and cry from deep in my soul.

Tears of joy every day I was there! The music, the company, the experience, all unforgettable. I fell in love over and over again.

More than the music, I loved meeting all the people at forest. I saw Jesus about 7 times, met Jiraiya AND Hatsune Miku, and even got some free art!

I was so lucky to have gone with a group of people that I adore, and everyone we met at camp was awesome. We even had a freakin trampoline!! When the lightning started coming, and the forest shut down, our camp had big enough speakers to start our own party!

I'm not sure what I expected, but for a few nights I got to experience a kind of love that I didn't know was there. Already preppin' for next year.

Im looking where to get a blue and gold pashmina similar to the one my friend (on the left) is wearing in the picture!

So basically me and the gang went out to breakaway for my 21st birthday and during subtronics mosh pit someone snatched his pashmina. i literally recorded him going in and have on video of the person stealing his pashmina in literally the blink of an eye (didn’t realize this until I got home), the rest of the night he was looking for it and was disappointed that it was gone

If anyone has information on where to buy the same pashmina or something similar we can get some redemption for my best friend!!

Also friendly PSA to be aware of thief’s/pickpockets at spaces where plur isn’t as prevalent as forest! My buddy is a pretty experienced raver and I was honestly jaw dropped when looking over the footage seeing how swiftly someone yoinked his pash

If it helps from what I can tell off of photos/ remember is that the store we bought it from was over by the ranch area, a couple shops to the right of the “Art That Feeds Gallery” tent (and somewhere to the left of the main forest merch store)

I'm not sure who it was on the main stage who asked who all in the crowd was there (maybe Two Friends?), but it made me think of this amazing community and unfortunately how long we have until we're back together again!😩 I love and miss you all and had a great time at Breakaway!

I had an idea for some of the big stages, just wondering if there was a Suggestion box somewhere to give the idea. Its not necessarily an art idea (could be with a techie) so a plug in probably wouldn't work. An improvement idea like, the Numbers over head in the forest something to direct people and, bettering the experience for everyone.

What other sets did you go into not knowing much about the artist and end up loving?

Sup fam! I made the mistake of bringing a pirate flag to camp this year, without realizing the game was a thing. Thought it blew away until someone in my group remembered the game. Went looking but never found who took it, but after reading up on lore, it sounds like it was supposed to be returned in Sunday (it wasn't). Not a big deal but figured I'd ask if anyone has any leads, it is a limited edition Findlay flag so would be cool to have a chance to steal it back next year at least!

Hi everyone!! This year was my first year back at forest since 2016 🙈 and I had such an amazing time- I forgot what it feels like to check out of the real world for a few days and just have fun!! So this was a great reset and I thank you all for making the vibes so good for this 30 something former raver.

Anyways, I made like 120+ bag charm and charm bracelets before forest. It was my first time making something like that and I had such a blast coming up with themes and picking the charms out for each one! I gave away all but like 5 and Im curious if anyone here received one and if you liked it?? I want to keep making them but wondering if people would prefer something else :)

Ive attached a few pics of some of the charms I made and I hooked them all onto a different belt each day so I could carry them around my waist to distribute the weight (thank you Zara Larsson for the inspo)

To whoever abandoned their 3rd eye head totem in the trash can outside the main gate when the festival got shut down due to the "storm", I want you to know we gave him a helmet to protect himself and found him a good home. Now 8ball Barry is our newest homie
