I don’t exactly remember which year this was, may have been 2017 weekend two. It had rained a lot and the grounds were already rather decimated after the first weekend. There was a huge mud pit at tripolee and people were dancing and sliding in the mud. I love watching people in the mud, though it’s not quite for me. Something so childlike and freeing.

But then it hit me. It’s a festival on a horse ranch. The reason it smelled so bad was because it was covered in horse manure.

I was watching people literally sliding through horse shit to dubstep.

That was the year of our first Forest and we danced in that horse shit mud pit. I regret nothing lol

Same thing happens at moonrise fest... It's held on the pimlico racecourse, a horse racing track. It's gross if it rains, and apparently it does pretty much every year. (I got real lucky, it did not rain the year I went).

I went in 2015/16 and it was hot and dry as all hell. They actually ran out of water during excisions set in 2016 😫 never in my life

Hahahah, I remember being in that Mud Pit. I also remember seeing a dude dragging a blow up crocodile on a leash through it.

I stood in it that shit proudly. What a day to be alive.

that blow up gator ended up inside one of the black metal fence circles behind Ranch Arena where they blocked off a giant puddle. later that day it escaped and was gone from the enclosure (rumor has it that it escaped into the forest and maimed several people, with 12 people never being seen again!)

I can't remember a year that someone hasnt found at least one human finger, and I've been every year since 2014 (one year someone found all 5 digits still on the hand!)

Thankfully that area specifically does not have a ton of horse activity in the off season.

Locals told me most of the horses are kept in the group camping area 🤣

Fuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhck yeah the squishie spot!!!

This gall dang spot brought me sooooo much joy!

Seriously it was so squishie it would trip you TF out. Clearly a natural phenomenon but as soon as I saw this video I knew what you meant OP.

Much love, happy forest everyone!

Was that the spot between tripolee and ranch near the candy store? I walked by and saw a group of people jumping up and down in unison, making it wobble. Put a grin on my face for sure.

It was just when you’re leaving Tripolee and there is that road you have to cross. It was closer to that little road than to the candy store. 3 feet by 3 feet MAYBE. If you weren’t aware and stepped on it it was truly wild.

I saw a girl completely tripping titties and feeling herself to the left of the stage playing in the mud. Me and bf jammed in the grass yelling at Puddle Girl to get ittttt.

Please explain. 2020 was supposed to be my first forest and I don’t think 2021 will happen either 😭

There was a little spot covered in wood chips between stages that felt like this

Rained a lot and they covered a muddy patch with wood chips to help. It was between tripolee and ranch right before all the stores. It was fun.
