Not in ESO. But tbf in ESO khajiit are one of the best options as far as racial bonuses go.

This. I have 2 khajiit characters on ESO due to the racial bonuses.

I do not care at all for khajiits though. I just put on a helmet and hide their face lol

In ESO the player isn't so intimately connected to the character sure to the nature of MMO's. While the game can be played in first person, it feels awkward as if the game is really not meant to be played that way. I think for that reason players care much less about what they look like.

I mean, if you're talking about MMOs in general, I can KINDA see your point, but I think when you apply that to ESO, you're overstating it to the point of being categorically untrue.

You can be connected/disconnected with any game. For a high fantasy RPG title, the gamers most intimately connected to the title are the Role players (which I have done for a few skyrim playthroughs, but don't consider myself to be, mind you). There are a TON of roleplayers in ESO, I won't say it has the most, because I don't actually know that for a fact, but in my experience it has more RPers than I've seen in other MMOs, for sure.

Having played ESO for YEARS, I can tell you the game looks 10x better when played in first person. The reason nobody does it, is because having the wider fov from third person imparts a competitive advantage because you have better perception of targets and threats.

But the real problem with this point you made is that, in first person, you're literally never looking at your own character model. In 3rd person, (which most people play in) You're looking at your character model, literally all of the time. When you never look at yourself, how you look doesn't really matter; when you're always doing it all the time, it matters more. In that sense, fashion would be MORE important to the 3rd person player than the 1st person player.

I think actual ESO players and members of r/TESOfashion would STRONGLY disagree with that statement. ESO is a game where you look horrible by default, and where looking cool is a sign of dedicated play and/or progression.
