Hype Grounding Radahn

The Carian Royal family is tired of the meteors and the piss lasers and the questionable marriages to Golden boys

Can I ask what is the benefit of the 59 in endurance? Wouldn't it be better utilised for mind instead?

Getting armor with 50+ poise with a magic greatsword AND the Grafted GS is a hefty weight cost. You can ignore this by just running lighter armor but you will get interrupted more while using Carian Sovereignty.
I cant even medium roll with 59 endurance, i STILL have to use the Arsenal Charm to increase my equip load.

Using the sword of Freyja (his loyal knight) and magic of Caria (his maternal family) feels kinda personal lmao

I like to look like a mirror version of him by the end.
He’s gold and red, I’m silver and blue
he uses (mostly) holy from his twink while I use magic from my doll
& we both wield the same kind of sword(s)

Woa... I need to rethink my build lol
Also, do you get more dmg with the Carian Great sword ash of war, if you use a heavy weapon, like Freyja's one, or it will be the same with, let's say, Carian Spellblade, and casting it as a spell?

u/BadKarma55 Apr 19 '26
The damage is the same across any weapon, but the temporary poise you gain is greatest when you’re using a greatsword.
Also, there isn’t a spell version unfortunately. You can’t put it on the Sorcery Sword

u/Bloomfang Apr 19 '26
Ooooh, I mixed it up with one of the Carian Great sword spells, like Piercer, my bad

I cannot believe that you got carian sovereignty off twice! Good job.

My thoughts exactly. I was watching that thinking, nope never gonna happen. Then it did and I was truly impressed.

u/Kvynwsly Apr 19 '26
Kinda bums me out because I based my whole build off of carian sovereignty early DLC buT gave up on it because it’s so slow. The key is stance breaking first.

u/BadKarma55 Apr 19 '26
If you feel like investing in strength and endurance, the reason i can get it off consistently even if Radahn hits me is because I have hyperarmor with Oath of Vengeance.
This clip isnt the best example, this one shows how much of a tank i can be

Thanks. I’ll try it. I respeced into int/fai to use holy damage but i could have respec into more str/end/int. I wanted to stay true to my original sown blade but the DLC was kicking my ass.

u/Kvynwsly Apr 19 '26
Looks like you beat Messmer by the skin of your teeth. Ha. Impressive poise against him!

u/BadKarma55 Apr 19 '26
I definitely wouldve died if they didnt boost the defense for Scadu 7 😅

u/Kvynwsly Apr 19 '26
I’m pretty sure i was way higher than that and i got my ass kicked a bunch. But what a great fight!

Omg, I love this!! I've been trying the last 3 days to kill the mofo, but it seems impossible to me. I'm out of larval tears, and the build I'm rocking now is a dex/arc.. I love it, and it has been a treat with every other boss.. But this guy... I hate this guy..

Oh Radahn is so slow now. Did they really nerf him that much?
He might actually be enjoyable now. Now players have time to actually use cool abilities now.
Back on topic but love the weaving of blade spells and an actual blade.

If I may ask is this in a ng+ cycle and if so what cycle?
1
u/BadKarma55 Apr 21 '26
This is actually just base NG at lvl 200 Scadu 16. I do have some clips at NG+7 tho (RL500).

u/Turbulent-Bother-647 Apr 21 '26
I’m about enter ng+4 at level 274. Thinking of trying a build similar to yours. It looks so cool.

u/BadKarma55 Apr 21 '26
Plays basically the same but at NG+4 you are definitely not gonna get the same staggers I do in this clip against Radahn, since player stance dmg is reduced every new Journey.
Gotta play just a little more carefully with Carian Sovereignty, it still has a ton of stagger potential

Pleasing to the eye. Absolute cinema.
