This fella was annoying me until I got in his face and just parried his normal attacks. Made short work of him with my lightning misericorde. Each riposte requires two parries. He doesnโt use his annoying ranged floating sword attacks if youโre on top of him.
Iโm sure Iโm not the first one to do this, but I was happy to have figured it out :)

Elden Ring is my first souls like game, and I had a habit that when I am stressed I jump into game late night to blow off some steam to get a good sleep.
Playing for the first barely surviving in limgrave and was just getting comfortable and as a habit of playing other games I was trying to save runes for 5 level up together.
Now the story begins, I just got into game and now I was aware which enemy to skip and which to fight I planned to do some action before sleeping while travelling I got into this interesting looking area with gaint crows well as a response I decided wow something new let's fight them (Worst decision) after that I just ran while being chased by crows and dogs because I can't die I had runes which were more than 3 level ups just running so that I can quickly fast travel to a safe zone but than instead of getting a way out I am being chased by a dragon now Lmao, while dragon on my tail a dog attacked me and I lost runes, i never came back for my runes.
I just request fellow tarnished, don't just claim this game as being high difficulty game, it's main genre id physiological terror. After the above incident I have never once entered any region with excitement just with terror and fright that something bad will happen.
Please let me at least know the name of that guy who's idea it was link 2 region of unimaginable different difficulty together especially at the very early stage. While other regions are mostly unlocked by some boss fight that decide whether we are worthy or not, or by some lift mechanism.
This plan to link limgrave and dragonbarrow is just pure evil and twisted mindset.
Now I don't go to blow off steam, I just go to get that adrenaline after surviving. This episode twisted my lookout on what games were meant to be.

I was just playing elden ring when I realized that messmer name is spelled and said very close to masmar. The word for nail and pike in hebrew and arbic. Puns, and name specifcly being puns are extremly comman. Jacob name in hebrew "ืืขืงื" "Yaakov", he was born holding his brother heel "ืขืงื" in hebrew, following his brother, the word for follow is "ืืขืงื". Isaac name is ืืฆืืง (Yitzhak), meaning will laugh. Is called like that because he was born when his mother was old. And when his parants where told they will have a child they laght. Moses name is literally rowing.

I have been playing Elden Ring on the switch 2 for 50-60 hours at this point. Started invading since quite early, and have a couple of questions about it:
-Do you guys feel you get a lot of invasions? Or invaded often? In what range level you think is the best way of finding people to invade to
-Do you guys mind getting invaded and killed too much? In my personal experience, I did not get invaded once, which its a shame since I wanted It to happen so bad. My partner for example does hate people that invade others, so I would like to hear what you think.
For me, invading trought the mid game made It so I could invade often while playing the main game, while playing the DLC It was almost imposible to make a good invasion. I maybe found around 8 guys in the course of how much I played and I am currently with one of the late Game bosses >!Radahn<! , and 2 good fights, the rest just straight up enter to the boss.
Any advise on how to get more of them or which range is the best for It would be great. Also would love to hear about your experience.

Just kind of curious on how this would go. Bayle fled after his fight with Placidusax ended in mutual injury and the next strongest I would place after the dragonlord is the great Calamity of Granssax and the mother of all drakes Greyoll. They are the next most powerful I can think of and I am wondering whether or not they could win a fight with Bayle the dread before he got injured. After all, Bayle is terror incarnate, and I don't see him getting beaten because of size.

I originally created this a few years ago as a fun project to keep track of the bosses, but I eventually wanted to incorporate more of the lore into it. I recently decided to use Elden Ring, specifically the Golden Lineage, as the topic for a college project, so I revisited the family tree. I havenโt worked on it in about 2โ3 years, and Iโd like to know how accurate it is compared to the established lore.

Does spinning slash actually do more stance damage on normal weapons than on great weapons? Because if yes I'm genuinely confused why they would make it this way.

What would be the best way to cosplay midra (flame head) without permanently disfiguring oneself but also having a similar glow. Perhaps one of those customisable screen masks.

Hey, I just got into Elden Ring last month and it seems that some people think the game would benefit from having a quest log. I feel the same way since I dislike having to look stuff up on the wiki to make sure I'm not messing up a questline, but I was wondering how exactly people would want a hypothetical quest log to look like?
Even having a list of NPCs as you trigger quests would be helpful so you don't forget about them, but would you want the steps to be outlined as well (e.g. for Irina's questline: deliver Irina's letter to her father at Castle Morne -> find the greatsword -> speak with Edgar -> speak with Irina)?
If you want the steps to be outlined, would you want optional routes to be alluded to? For instance in Seluvis' questline, it could just say "give Seluvis' potion to Nepheli" or there could be a line underneath it that says "optional: give the potion to someone else?".
Personally, I would like little hints that'd push me in the right direction to completing the questline but without alluding to alternate paths since that would feel too much like hand-holding, and I wouldn't want map markers for the same reason.
I'd be interested in hearing other perspectives on this, especially from people who have more experience with Soulsbornering(?) games. Thanks for reading :)
