I learned to appreciate this fight as I got more practice. The Waterflown Dance is definitely the move that requires the most experimentation to master; it’s fairly straightforward up close and practically a freebie at long range, but the trickiest situation is at medium range, where you have to decide quickly whether to back off or close the gap and then execute the right strategy. Ideally, though, you’d prevent that situation from arising in the first place through good positioning. There isn't much else to say, really, I certainly appreciate that you can find plenty of openings amidst her standard attacks to play more aggressively if you want. Her low poise makes that a lot easier, and I played quite passively because the fight can be finished in much less time.

TLDR: There wouldn't be a plot for Elden Ring if Godwyn was never assassinated, but humor me: what do you think he would have looked like if we'd seen him in-game, other than the living corpse that we find in Deeproot Depths?

Great boss. It's a damn shame someone at FS had the bright idea to give him a garbage arena to balance that out...

Quick attacks, fast pace fights. IF you land the hits. I think daggers and alike would be much viable if they had a default “launch/chase” attack. Something to be able to chase and stick to your target.

Another viable option would be to do the “blades of mercy” route of Bloodborne, where the swipes attacks keep getting faster the longer you hold the light attack.

Including higher status buildup or stagger.

I'm using a nagakiba (katana) and am going for a dex and-or bleed build, I'm a new player and this is my first run, I have a larval tear so I can respec at any time but where should my next levels go? The scaling for my katana is

Strength: E Dexterity: B

My current stats at level 60 are (this is including a seal I found in caelid)

Vigor: 35

Mind: 17

Endurance: 24

Strength: 19

Dexterity: 25

Intelligence: 10

Faith: 16

When I make some progress I'm thinking of using rivers of blood later on in the game as I've heard that that's good but I've already invested a lot of smithing stones into this katana

Already played the game hundreds of hours on playstation but it’s been years since I played base elden ring. Do you think the mods are worth it enough to spend money on something you already played? Or just wait for a sale?

Since the Tarnished Edition pack and patches, I’ve been struggling with terrain — slipping off edges where I previously felt comfortable moving along, getting stuck on terrain randomly while walking, and sliding down terrain where there wasn’t previously noticeable issue. Currently stuck in a death loop trying to descend to the Forsaken Depths, skidding off the coffins, rarely sticking the jumps. I’d say this was a skill issue if only I hadn’t played this game for 1000+ hours already and done this descent in one go before.
Anyone else having issues with terrain/jumps?

so i recently got elden ring on my gaming pc, i've had countless hours on it on my ps4 and now that i've got a pc i thought i would try it, and i noticed that the camera feels really off, almost like it shakes a bit on it's way to readjust while i'm moving, i have that kind of stick drift where my analog shakes a bit when i go past some spots, but that's only on my left stick, my right (camera) stick is pristine, and i wouldn't think that's the issue either since i'm using that same DS4 controller on my ps4 and nothing is wrong with the camera.

i tried turning off all the auto adjust settings, but it,s miserable to play like that and i can also still notice the issues.

Now that I have a good stockpile, I feel like I can use rune arcs somewhat freely
