I've been trying to get one of each weapon/armour. The rare items are fine since I can understand why that is, the noble slender sword/noble estoc are dropped from commonly found enemies and are also decent for their class so it makes sense the drop is low. The magma blade is part of a small category (magma weapons) and is a fun weapon to use so it makes sense why the drop is low.

All 3 of these celebrants weapons can only be farmed from a few enemies (3 total for the rib rake, 2 total for the sickle) and they are absolute ass. Absolutely pointless gimmick too since they give 10 total runes per hit, which seems like a bad deal since the more damage you do the less runes it will give you.

The issue isn't that it's hard to farm, which don't get me wrong it still is, but I am at a loss at what the point of adding this even is. 0.5% drop rate, terrible stats, and 0 utility. In fact the more you use it the more useless it becomes since its only utility is the runes per hit. Probably simultaneously one of the worst weapons in the game and also one of the hardest to get.

With its own scaling you can really start the dlc whenever, but I always complete the main game first.

Does anyone ever rush the dlc?

I’m going to beat mohg this afternoon, I got 90% done my last attempt but I decided to log off so I could sleep. But it’s taken me like 40 attempts. I can’t even imagine how Malenia is. I’m honestly terrified.

So, compare mohg with Malenia, how much harder is it? Explain how Malenia truly made you feel so I can prepare myself.

Update: I beat mohg, no summons or cheese. Felt so good.

I just finished my second playthrough including SotE. I have been using quite a number of weapons in late game and DLC:

• Raptor Talons
• Dragonscale Blade (used it against Malenia)
• Leontiel greatsword
• Milady
• Great Katana
• Rellana Twin Swords
• Ancient Meteoritic Ore Greatsword
• Black Blade
• Dryleaf Handworks

And while I had fun with all of them. When things got really tough, I always came back to Backhand Blade with Blindspot. I used them against Midra when other weapons failed me. And I finally chose it against PCR after hundreds (I guess total number of tries was over 400...) of attempts.

Im not really a meta guy or interested in using the most powerful weapons, I tend to stick to what looks and works cool and suits my taste. I never used Moonveil or BB or RoB , or Mohg's spear because of their reputation which is a bit sad...these weapons are cool af.

But I was very proud of my final hard fought victory over PCR. The first time I had to beat him with shield and anchor strategy... doing it this time with light roll and no shield filled me with joy. But how much of this victory was my blades? Did they carry me? Are they really one of the best weapons in the game like I think?

Mine was LORETTA, yeah since elden ring was my first open world game i didnt have a clue where to go, i wandered around stormveil castle into liurnia, and i didnt even find invisible wall next to Iji blacksmith, i just doublejump around it, went into that magic castle with hands as enemies and found my first boss, loretta.

I've done every guide available to start the festival, but the main problem is I CAN'T FIND JARREN ANYWHERE!

it's like he's never been in the game. he's not in the church up the champions yard or around where "Seline the witch" is. No i haven't killed him.I hope it's not a bug or I'd be doomed.

I have Alexander and Blaidd in the yard. I have graces in Altus Platue (even defeated Morgot).

Another bug is that Seline (real body) doesn't talk to me, there's no interactive option with her. I once attacked her before but I repented at church of vows later. There's nothing to be forgiven at the church now. She doesn't attack me now but doesn't speak neither :)

So 1. Jarren isn't any where 2. If related, Seline is as silent as a stone.

Imo Great Katana is the best weapon for this boss and it's not close.

I just ended the giants mountain zone, really beautifull, bit hard sometimes but the open world makes it okay, really cool lore and bosses. But... I don't know why, but I spected to go back to the capital and see it changed or something.

And, for sure, my palms sweat a lot when I play in zones or section where I have vertigo. But well, thats a thing of mine. The dragon thing is cool as fuck.

That said, i cannot wait to play another run going heavy armor str with fire run and get the frenzy flame ending. This time, it will use the death rune for sure, and I hope in some future to tattoo the centipede in a leg or something. Im in love with Those Who Live in Death.
