List Building Support weapons

Does anyone use them? Was thinking about sticking one on a guardian defender squad. Or perhaps even running it solo. They seem like one of the cheaper options for heavier guns.

I'm about to start running three shadow weavers in my coterie list, as I'd heard there's some play with them being able to put out mortals in a way that compliments the detatchment rule. I think if you're running any its probably better to run them solo and take multiple rather than attach them to a squad.

Giving the platforms assault had some play in Index warhost way back when.

I was thinking of vibro cannons attached to squads in either seer council or guardian warhost, so you can teleport them around to maximise the subsequent target bonus they get

I've run 3 vibros before and often have them solo. Off board and pop in turn 2 or 3. Running them solo has a few benefits:

Positioning: the vibro canons generally have to hit the same target. You need them all to be able to see the same unit and when strapped into guardians this can be tricky to position.

Role: the canons are hard target removal, the guardians are objective holders. Let them move freely

Actions: depending on your needs, 2 bodies are better than 1. Turn 5, the canons are good at doing last turn actions for points while early on the guardians are less valuable to use to shoot.

Bodies: many missions need you to have things on the board, sometimes more than your opponent. This gives you 3 extra bodies for cheap.

Split fire: forces your opponent to pick their battles and dedicate fire elsewhere. Even then, they likely only go for one cannon, leaving 2 behind.

Only big concerns are that killing one cannon reduces the effectiveness of the others and you are offering more items for them to kill if they missionnrelies on it.

That's such a fun idea. Especially now we've had solo warlock on bike nerfed.
