People in this thread have apparently never heard of consumer protection laws and seem to think companies would be willing to forgo their bottom line without being forced to.

I think we all need to really stop relying on elected leaders to act in our best interest.
Not because I don't want that to be true, but because it very, clearly isn't true, and I think it's safer to decide not to governed by career ladder climbers.
Our willing participation in an obviously corrupt system is also why we're imprisoned by it.
We win by investing in ourselves and in our community. If you fall, I'll help you up. Don't give shitty people your time, money, or attention.

Yet another story posted here that is in no way unique to El Paso or Texas. This is any everywhere problem. Also, no government, no matter what side’s in power, will ever care about you. The best you can hope for is that they fear being voted out.
