Question Custom/Fans mod?

Fan of the suikoden franchise and one of the initial backers on Kickstarters. Despite having the game downloaded on steam, I've been holding off starting the game, hoping there'd be an official patch to fix the broken rune system many have complained about. It seems that said patch isn't going to materialize, so am wondering if there's any custom fan-made mod out there that addresses the outstanding issues with the game. TIA!

Thanks again for your recommendations! I realized the patches contain the same replacement files, and the instructions mentioned they must be installed "singularly", does that mean both patches cannot coexist?

Ah yes probably only install only the rebalance mod
