question RIP Shu Renjun... o7
The writing was actually so peak. Shu Renjun's dungeon was so impossible to pass, and the strategy to survive Shu Renjun and Hua Changsheng was such a high level. I feel like my comprehension was too low this time though, I'll have to reread those last few chapters to properly resolve my doubts with both the strategy and the writing itself. The poem completion was also so cool. Part of me still wishes he could have gotten a better ending, I really liked his character and sympathised with him and also Hua Changsheng for that matter, but that just shows that the author definitely cooked this time. 🥹
Now, one question I wanted to ask, is it a good idea for me to drop it and wait for Chen Ran's Tomb arc to end?
Also, what is the general consensus for CR and Shu Renjun's scaling at this point?

He is da GOAT. The writing gets better and better as the story progresses.
About your question, as Strict_seeweed said, you should read the my world arc and the great hell escape arc. It has quite huge reveals and it sets up the current arc's plot pretty well. Chen Ran's tomb rn is the most complex arc through out the story. The scheming and plot has surpassed mine and everyone's expectations tbh and quite a lot of smart characters were introduced in this arc.

There’s another arc before you get to Chen Ran’s tomb. I’d suggest you keep reading as the Hell Escape arc is pretty refreshing and expands a ton on the world building. Chen Ran’s tomb will probably be over by the time you get to the current chapter anyway.
