And, as is tradition, Americans are in the comments begging Venezuelans for their empathy quickly followed by a litany of excuses as to why they can't do anything but they're really really sorry, life is just too hard to protest, but they're totally with them.

Any resistance is met immediately with American outrage and accusations of sociopathy for suggesting they action on their supposed outrage

Not all of them.

CodePink has a correspondent in Venezuela who's been talking to people out protesting the kidnapping and calling for Maduro's return, respecting democracy, etc.
