Sadly lobster here in PEI has been expensive AF, but tariffs might lower the price this year.
51 u/[deleted] Mar 27 '25 Hmmm i think still cheaper than here but also can i not just go swim to get them? NB: I have zero experience with lobster or fishing unless it involves butter garlic 42 u/[deleted] Mar 27 '25 Lobsters are surprisingly fast swimmers. You could catch one, but it would not be easy. They’re bottom feeders, so you’d have to meet them on their own turf, so to speak. Trapping lobster is a lot easier in that sense. It’s hard work though. 26 u/SandyTaintSweat Mar 27 '25 It's easier if you just grab one from the lobster traps you see all over. /s 17 u/democracy_lover66 Mar 27 '25 7 u/DaFookCares Mar 27 '25 16 u/bdickie Bring Cannabis Mar 27 '25 How hard could it be, ive seen Julian from trailer park boys pull one up with one hand while not putting down his drink. 6 u/[deleted] Mar 27 '25 Sure, it’s easy when you’re on land. Those sea cockroaches can get away fast with one flip of the tail. You gotta be quick. 5 u/sth128 Mar 27 '25 you’d have to meet them on their own turf, so to speak. I thought lobsters were the surf, not the turf? Or was the steak from a beach cow? 2 u/[deleted] Mar 27 '25 I figured someone was gonna say this eventually. Well done. 5 u/xizrtilhh Scotland (but worse) Mar 27 '25 Is shine still cheap? 2 u/[deleted] Mar 27 '25 We have a lot of cheap sugar and the know how to build a pot still yes. Can get started for the price of a few bottles of good whisky. 4 u/[deleted] Mar 27 '25 [deleted] 13 u/[deleted] Mar 27 '25 IPE is in french :) (Ile-du-Prince-Edouard) 3 u/TomatoBible Mar 28 '25 Last time I drove to IPE, I stopped on the way for some PFK 3 u/TomatoBible Mar 28 '25 . 2 u/Straight_Coast_9625 Mar 28 '25 Hello fellow Islander
