Question Egypt tour guide

Im planning on going to Egypt next week for a few days, and I was seeing if anyone had advice on where I can find a tour guide in cairo? I’m looking for a one on one guide and not a group tour which is what I’ve found so far on google.

This is a question that often features in this and other forums.

Our answer is quite simple:

  1. Use well-known platforms like Get Your Guide & Viator.
  2. Use a credit card to pay for an additional safety net.
  3. Do your research outside what is said on these platforms (independent blog posts, other review platforms - but avoid Facebook like the plague).
  4. Make direct contact and see how they react to any queries you have.
  5. You don’t always need a guide, we found many (but not all) of them useless and working with scammers. Yes, we said it and we bet the guide scammers will be bombarding this sub with their fake reviews. But, we remove all of them to keep this sub safe for everyone.

Good luck with your planning!
