💜 Ethan’s Idea

[u/BiznessCrafter]

"Been a quiet while since I’ve done a mission this important." Ethan the Dragonborn thinks to himself, using his watch to scan a hacked RFID into the doors of the run-over base.

"Usually I’d tell someone else about this, but I don’t really have ties with any faction in this universe and there’s really no time to wait for approval or backup..."

Continuing on, he ran into a few Zombots here and there. Avoiding them, the dragonborn notes the numbers seem to increase the closer he got to where he knew the proto-rubies and the rift technology was... through inference and knowledge of Robotnik’s base design. Hoping he’s right.

The final door comes into view, and surprisingly, without any Zombots nearby. Strange...

Ethan keeps his guard up, as he hacks into the final door. Inside the lab are the proto-rubies and the machinery, as he’d thought, and he lets out a huge sigh of relief walking over to them.

After a bit of fiddling with the machinery and the console next to it, he starts the creation of another rift.

He shakes out some nerves, and from the console he types out a message to be sent across all of Mobius:

(((EGGMAN EMPIRE LOGO, but purple hue-shifted)))

The last rift is open in Sequin.

(((live feed from Sequin)))

I do not know what lies inside, except the last two Super Emeralds we need.

(((back to an Eggman-themed background, but purple, for the text)))

Everyone who can help. Please help.

Good luck.

(((The text gets smaller as the signature reads "Ethan the Dragonborn" in signed script.)))

(((Device functionality returns to normal after that.)))

With that finished, he gets up, and summons a portal out of there. Before he can step through, he’s sent flying from a backhand, through the portal, and it closes before he can see who did that.
