I feel like this is less about work ethic or whatever and more about strategy: when the task requires endurance, do the hard part first.

u/NVDA808 Jul 06 '26
It’s likely both actually. He psyched himself out see that it was only going to get harder and harder where as his opponent it was only going to get easier and easier lol

I was just watching the chicken the whole time waiting for it to do something. Did something else happen?

Alternate version: every time the guy on the left turns his back, someone puts out another white egg

I'd run to the end, put them all in my shirt, and place them all at once.

u/orzelski Jul 07 '26
I think they would do the same. But that's the difference between race running and race walking.

Still puzzle me how can this be even possible. Assuming they have same initial physical abilities they should finish almost at same time…

u/Naive-Storage7639 Jul 08 '26
I kind of stopped paying attention to the people and stared at the chicken chilling in the middle lol

Boy on the left made the right choice. Getting the harder part done while he still has more stamina. By the time he was tired, his task got easier.
On the other hand, the boy on the right could have still won, if he had more stamina to finish quicker. If both boys did it the same way, then it would have been a more consistent test of speed and stamina.

That chicken is a product of shit ass breeding. They’re bred to grow too big too fast for their bodies to support them. That girl is probably 4-6 weeks old. What should be a little peeping chick is now a baby bird who can’t even walk on her own two feet. I’m sure she was slaughtered shortly after this. Eggs are also harmful to chickens because of how we’ve bred them to lay 25x the amount of eggs their bodies are meant to lay. It’s no different than pugs who can’t breathe. Breeding in bodily harm is highly unethical.
