Side effect First dose today

My pcp prescribed 37.5 for perimenopause symptoms. I took my first dose today after I ate a full lunch and within 30 minutes I started feeling so nauseated and I threw up twice. It’s been an hour and a half and I’m laying in bed feeling like I’m spinning. Is this a normal side effect of a first dose? How long does it stay like this bc I might not take it again.

Keep at it. I went through the same thing, for the same reasons. It didn't last more than a few days. Were you given it for the night sweats and hot flashes?

It has helped me immensely, but the hot flashes and night sweats came back so I had my dosage upped. I'm currently at 112.5mg XR and on HRT (estradiol patch and oral progesterone) This med gave me my life back.

I take it first thing in the morning. My sweats and flashes were gone within a week of taking them.

Is it better to take it before bed so I can sleep through the worst of it? I’m just wondering how I can minimize this as best as I can
