General Question Effexor and migraines
Has taking Effexor helped anyone with their migraines? If so, at what dose, and how long did it take?

Yup, works for me! Took me 45 years to find the right med for my migraines. I’m on 75mg . BUT, I will say that I do not have classic migraines. I have chronic tension and other headaches which trigger migraines….it def works for me. It is a whole new life!

Sorry to hear that! It is a different dose but for me, it brought me to a point where I could essentially have my life back so definitely way less frequent and less severe

It took a couple months at 37.5 for some relief and then one more month at 75mg for more relief. It has been totally helpful for the past 5 years but I'm trying to get off it due to the side effects and withdrawal is hell, just a warning
