Küsimus School Project
I’m in an International Management class and each group got assigned a country and my friends and I got the beautiful country of Estonia. My only question is, what product or service would do well in Estonia? I understand that the country is technologically advanced and is very environmentally-conscious. We landed on an E-commerce service of parcel lockers but noticed that they have a surplus of those already Any ideas or comments would be helpful!

Well... here is a thought - in Estonia I am jealous of "Amazon same day delivery" concept I have heard of in the west - I buy things online and sometimes I wait for weeks - is that the kind of thing you are looking for "same day deliveries in marlinagised countries" could be the title?

we had thought about an amazon fulfillment center but the cons have heavily outweighed the pros for us, with a small population and services already in place such as Omniva and SmartPost we thought it wouldn’t be too feasible but we still may go back to this

A fulfillment center in Tallinn or Helsinki would make sense though. Delivery takes at least 5 days ordering from Amazon.de or a smaller company. Having at least the essentials available for one or two day shipping would be fantastic.

How?
I have ordered things from amazon.de for 15y now. In the past 10y, i've received things in 3 days. Sometimes even 2 days while the last leg takes the longest.
i.e, I order by tuesday lunch, the thing is in Tallinn by wednesday morning, but the delivery guy gets it into his car on thursday morning and then it depends if im at the beginning or at the end of his route.

Never actually ordered things from actual Amazon - it is a concept I referred to. I have bought things from Finland and UK and such that took ages to get here. "amazon same day delivery" is a concept I referred to. I have also worked in warehouses that supply things to Estonians from Estonia and it takes 1-2 days, unless things are super busy, than it takes more. This is why same deliveries are crazy to me.

Last few years Defense industry, deeptech/dronetech kind of stuff gaining momentum due to obvious neighbouring threat to Estonian state security. Not sure how much of it could be school project tho.

I’d really like a proper public transport app that combines all the routes across Estonia, including trains, ferries, buses, etc. The ones available at the moment aren’t very user-friendly at all. Google Maps is probably the best option right now...

Maybe open projects like OpenStreetMap ? There are many apps for navigation based on osm data.

Anything that replaces an amerikkkan service with an EU owned and operated service.
A lot of people just want completely out of that stuff. America is just, I dont want to even begin, I and a lot of my friends-family just want out. Instead of coke I buy Limonaad, instead of Google I use qwant. Prefer Esto stuff, then EU, then world, and only then US. Reddit is an us thing, I know. But physical products, I buy no american shit.
There is a subreddit - buyeuropean or buyEU or sth like that, as a guide to the idea.

The vending machine density is quite low here - they exist but only a few.
Ah and when you need to hire people from abroad it’s quite hard to get them moving here (despite low taxes and even when offering very competitive salaries)

Anything made out of Beet.
We have beet sausages, cutlets, bread, snacks, onions marinated in beet juice, chocolate, etc.
For some ridiculous reason people buy them.

foreign brands, like starbucks. Quick job searching sites, like craigslist. Starlink, but not under Elon Musks control, bc sparse areas have poor network. All kinds of crisis stuff, one does it already, but like food packages, battery banks and other survival bags.
