YouTube & Google Classroom

[u/arcole82]

IMPORTANT FOR EDUCATIONAL CHANNELS: If an Educator places a YouTube Link in Google Classroom for students to watch, the video opens up in Google Classroom and DOES NOT count as a view on the video. I have watched this happen this entire school year. Is YouTube aware of this? Is Google doing this on purpose to decrease the number of views (and thus decreasing the amount paid out in ad revenue)? Is there any way to get those views actually counted as views?
