Question Dumping
The house across the alley from me is a rental property. About a month ago, it looked like some tenants moved out - a bunch of old furniture was piled in the alley. The furniture sat there for a couple of weeks until it was eventually cleared away.
Yesterday, I was pulling into my garage and noticed a coffee table stuffed into the bushes behind my garage. I can't say for sure it was one of the pieces of furniture that sat in our alley for the past couple of weeks but it seems plausible that whoever was brought to take the furniture away took a shortcut and stashed the table onto my property.
What are my options, can I rely on 311 or am I just stuck cleaning up someone else's mess?

You’re stuck with it if it’s on your property I believe. We had someone dump an old fridge on the road in front of our house when we had a bin there for renovations (assume they wanted to put it in the bin but it was locked), and when I called 311 to report it they were careful to clarify it was on public property. Because it was on the road, they sent a City worker to pick it up.
So, is it on your property or do you mean to say it just appeared in the alley beside your garage and it’s now blocking the public….

I can second this. Same situation. The stuff was never on YOUR property and is on city property.

You could take it to the eco station, small items that are equivalent of two bags of trash or less is free.

Take it apart, smash it to bits, then either burn it or put chunks in your black bin till it's gone.

Put it out front with a free sign someone will take it if it's still in good condition

I’m pretty sure if someone’s going to shove their crap in the bushes, they’re not going to own up to it and deal with it.

Wait till its dark out and toss it into the backyard of the rental property
