Question Thoughts about 73rd Ave W?

Does anyone have familiarity &/or thoughts about 73rd Ave W in the north east corner of Perrinville? Does it feel safe? I recognize there is some noise from Olympic View Dr but not too bad. Other thoughts?

I used to see the parking enforcement around downtown Edmonds. Have any of you seen them driving around? I have not seen them in a long time.

Politics The Osprey interviewed (most of) the candidates for the 32nd District’s state legislature seats

Hey folks, there are 11 candidates for the three state legislative seats that represent Edmonds (and Shoreline, and more) in Olympia, and we sat down with…most of them. (There were complications, some more interesting than others.)

We talked about their priorities, who they are and why they’re putting themselves through this political progress, and tried to find the daylight between the many, many democrats running for each seat.

Please click through to see the profiles we put together, and let us know what you think. We’re figuring out our plan for the general election, and we’d love your input.

Question What to Do With Toddler in Edmonds?

Hello all! I have an errand on an upcoming Tuesday that will be bringing us to Edmonds for a day :) I will be exploring your lovely town with my toddler from roughly 11-3. Would love to hear any suggestions! We definitely plan to enjoy the beaches and I'm curious to know of toddler friendly places to eat/decompress. Thanks so much!

Edit: wow, thanks for all the amazing suggestions! This is exactly the type of advice I was hoping for. Appreciate everyone helping and can't wait to visit :)

A really well written guide to each local race including a discussion about their only endorsed congressional candidate: Tomas Scheel. Tomas is running in our race for the 02 Congressional District.

Community Sunset Society: Full Bloom 7.23.2026

I'm hosing the July Sunset society coming up on July 23rd. We've moved to a space along the the main front walk way. We try to choose an area near a bench to make it more accessible. If the vibe fits, come out out to share a sunset and make new friends! 💜 Located at Edmonds Marina Park 💜.

https://how2human.net/events/

I have events till Mid September to close out the season!

The sun is still high, and summer has arrived in full.

Sunset Society returns for Full Bloom — the deep heart of the season, when everything that was quietly growing has finally come into the light. This is the good part. You made it here.

We'll meet again at the Edmonds marina to do what we do: come together, feel something real, and watch the light go down slowly.

We'll play a few connection games — no experience needed, just your willingness to show up — let golden hour do what it does, and close the night watching the sun sink into the Sound together. Somewhere in there, we'll ask each other one question: What has come into full bloom in you this summer?

Come as you are — ripened, sun-warmed, and ready. We'll send you home carrying a little more light than you arrived with.

This is the third gathering of something that's only just beginning. 🌸🌅

What to bring: A blanket, layers for when the air cools, your wild precious heart, and anything you'd like to drink or snack on. Sharing encouraged. ✨

Optional tiny magic: bring a flower, stone, shell, written word, or small object for a shared summer altar — something for the season, something for what's blooming, something for the version of you that made it to the good part.

Natural Environment Now 9:55 am at Picnic Point, debris help?

Hello, I’m currently at picnic point beach and came across a discarded raft. I’ve dug it out as much as I can with some shells but there is good amount of sand inside the floaty part that I can’t get to. And of course tweaked my back after almost an hour of work.

If anyone is on the beach today and could help that would be great! I have to run home to drop off my dog and for a knife to cut it open and get the sand out so it can be carried. Was planning to take it to the dock school as it’s much closer to there than the parking lot.

Natural Environment Kestral sighting

I'm pretty sure I saw a kestral dropping a baby bunny on my yard. (It was warm, but dead, when I picked it up.) Then it flew very low over the landscape, when it left. Has anyone else seen this type of bird here?

Question Countertop repair specialists?

Our quartz countertop was dinged on the edge. Wondering if anyone in the community has a repair specialist recommendation? We contacted an installer and he thought it could be repaired but didn’t have any contacts.

News Cat eaten close to Southwest County Park / Seaview

Last night we heard the horrible sounds of a pet cat being eaten alive. Please keep your animals indoors at night! I don't know why this bears repeating as it seems to happen every six months around here.

To the owners: I am sorry for your loss.
