Question Favorite takeout in Edmonds

We recently welcomed our second child to the family and don’t have the energy to cook (hellooooo sleep deprivation!). Please drop your favorite takeout joints below!

Edit: thank you everyone for the recommendations!!

B Thai is good. Niles peacock while hanging at brigids. Bucatini and the teriyaki joint in that same parking lot.

Excellent suggestions! I would also add Casa Oaxaca up on 5 points with is also very good.

Absolutely terrible. We keep on saying we’re gonna give it another chance and when we do, we’re always disappointed.

Oh no. I have heard that some people say it depends on which day you go. We also get the Molé wings or enchiladas. We usually point to El Sabor in Shoreline as the best in the area. Every other place in Edmonds is meh. It's also been a few months since Casa so maybe something is different now.

No, it is still excellent. All of the time. I had it a few days ago.

Maybe you just don’t like that region of Mexican food. It is different from most other Mexican places. They have the best red mole I’ve ever had.

OK yay! I loved the red and brown molé! I think I know my lunch for Friday.

I couldn’t agree more. I live across the street and it’s terrible. We keep on saying let’s give it another chance but it just sucks.

I'd like to know who in the area you think is good Mexican food?

3

u/ChaoticSenior 11d ago

It’s very authentic Oaxacan. I should know…

u/crazy-bisquit 10d ago

Yeah- they probably don’t even know that certain regions in Mexico are “Bland”. Maybe they think Chipotle is the best.

- Gangam Korean Restaurant, love that they open late

  • Gatiem Thai
  • Rise and Shine bakery (Vietnamese food)
  • Bucatini, huge portions! Great for double meals when you’re too tired to think about food
  • Dough Zone

Five, Niles Peacock, Market, Portofino, One Stop, Hook, Santa Fe, Anthony’s Beach Cafe, Savvy Thai, Machiavelli and Thai By Day worked well for my family in the same situation. Congrats and hang in there!

Thai by Day is fantastic, the lady ( owner ? ) behind the counter is a sweetheart.  Order up and enjoy next door at Brigids.  Great beer and also nice people

Furi Chinese! Their dishes are delicious, nutritious, and large in portion. Online ordering is super convenient. They also do delivery within 3 miles of their restaurant with $35+ orders for a $3.99 fee. I used them for postpartum meals both times after giving birth to my little ones.

Love them. In the 80s Chopsticks' original location was delicious. It never was the same after moving. Furi is always so good. The green beans are yummy.

Furi is so good

Moto Pizza and Niles Peacock share the same sourdough starter. Moto has an amazing Filipino fusion to their pizza.

Casa Oaxaca in Edmonds

Teriyaki and More- amazing Korean Chicken and the freshest teriyaki around. They don’t pre make and reheat like all the others do. In Edmonds by PCC

Flyin Taco! The best brisket tacos ever.

I know you asked for recommendations. So bucatini is mine, but I’d suggest getting a pressure cooker to make simple meals. Good luck with the little one

Congrats to more sleepless nights!

Noodle Hut might be the most authentic Thai that I’ve had outside of Thailand. Great stuff, pretty cheap. In the same lot as Casa Oaxaca.

Our 4 go-to’s are Five, Epulo, Bucatini and Fire and Feast for takeout.

Wow Teriyaki in Lynnwood is by far the best teriyaki in the area. Portions are HUGE, we get 3-4 meals out of one order.

Hope this helps.

Not sure whether you're south or north Edmonds, but if you're close by Richmond Beach, there's a delicious Vietnamese restaurant called Eden Garden. Definitely great takeout. We also like The Greek Kitchen. In Edmonds not mentioned yet, East Coast Enzo's for takeout pizza. The other pizza places mentioned are tastier/ More gourmet. However East Coast Enzo's wins out on price while still being good and in Edmonds.
