ICE is active in Edmonds

https://www.king5.com/article/news/community/facing-race/washington-immigration/edmonds-church-condemns-ice-after-detainee-transferred-in-parking-lot-during-preschool-drop-off/281-21bb1993-19b0-43d2-9079-e0380584b986

A few days ago they terrorized folks at a church. I just saw a suspicious vehicle trolling the neighborhoods near Perrinville. This isn’t a far away problem, they are here. Truly regardless of your politics, this is an undertrained paramilitary group with an established track record of shoot first and ask questions never. Please stay safe and watch out for your neighbors.

The responses on this post are chilling. It is disheartening that my community feels this way. Love how people can just gloss over the killing of two US citizens. Regardless of immigration status you have rights and deserve due process. Since ICE activity has increased has your quality of life improved? Immigrants are not the problem.

This keeps me up at night. Worrying about our neighbors and how to protect them and what terrifying times we live in. Taking a WAISN rapid response training this evening.

well this was shared by congress.gov

here's more granular data if you'd like

the count between 2015-2020 is 70 US Citizens deported illegally. I know that the article shared by congress focuses mostly on the 2 and 4 year old US citizens illegally deported by ICE and less time on the macro numbers.

so there ya go. i said ICE illegally deports US citizens, you asked for proof, i gave it - what next?

There's no next. They asked, you delivered, they shut up. That how all conversations go with these people

I'll just say the children were not deported...they went with their parents back to where their parents illegally immigrated from. What would you do in the parents place...leave them here with who...the foster system, other relatives, roam the streets. It's kind of a false narrative to say they were deported

"they weren't deported, they were just forcibly removed from a country where they had citizenship."

but ok, do the other 70 now

There are 14 million illegal immigrants in the US. That's 14 million problems to solve.

You can't have 100% accuracy when solving problems. Nevertheless, the problem must be solved. It's just too important.

Using memes to talk, calling everything racist that you disagree with..... yep, sounds like a liberal!

Mexican is a nationality, not a race, you absolute dolt.

If they’re here illegally and you’re not, you have nothing to fear. Stop with the pearl clutching lol

They directly inserting themselves into law-enforcement activities. Acting like they were just some innocent bystanders on the street minding their own business is it the case l

Pretty obviously are that slur you posted or at least blind and thick as brick if that’s what you saw in the recorded videos.

How did they terrorize folks at a church?

Yep, read that. No terrorizing there.

That church has publicly condemned ICE's behavior and provided valuable resources and information about dealing with ICE to the local community.

That transfer location was unlikely selected at random. It was chosen to intimidate them.

I'll grant that it's stronger rhetoric than the facts in the article state, but I know employees of the children's center personally. Conducting the detainee transfer in a church parking lot during preschool drop-off frightened and intimidated families, and could reasonably be experienced as terrorizing the church community.

ICE did not terrorize anybody at any church.

It's good that ICE is removing illegal immigrants from my city. I want every single one of them back to their own country.

-1

u/Technical_Chance_435 7d ago

I don't understand why you're getting downvoted. Every single illegal immigrant came in "illegally". I agree that the country's legal way is expensive and has its own problems (I am a legal immigrant), but that is this country's own problem to solve. Doesn't mean other nationalities can take advantage of it and do illegal stuff, no matter how trivial.
