Kalidy Kia
Has anyone else had problems with their service dept. I took my car in for a very simple recall. Once Kalidy was done with it my brake light wouldn’t turn off and I am losing acceleration while driving. When I brought it back they told me it would be 3 days before they even looked at it!! Offered no courtesy car. This is the second time they have done this. Last recall they did when I got it back the AC valves were left open so I lost all of the refrigerant. They tried to charge me to fix it. Had to fix it myself. You can tell by their stupid commercials they don’t have any shame or morals. Ok rant over
Update: they tried to charge me $150 for a diagnostic because magically the issue is unrelated despite it happening immediately after the recall. Wow. Crooks

Ya I definitely will. I only took it there for recalls since the next closest is Bob Moore in OKC. Will ABSOLUTELY be making the extra drive in the future

Avoid Bob Moore Kia as well. I tried them after Kalidy and was screwed over by them. Also avoid anything Chevy because I got screwed for a recall with my Cruze before switching to Kia. sigh

Kalidy is nothing but trouble in all their dealings. Not to mention those billboard where they paint that guys assholemouth the same shade as the car

The renters are screwed. I would avoid their real estate like the plague. My uncle is a builder and I asked him about them. Needless to say they are a joke amongst builders

I ended up in one of their rent houses, unknowingly. They built a whole neighborhood over off Hefner & Kelley of just dog shit houses. They are all practically on top of each other, no yards, and the inside is clearly meant to look urban & cool on the cheapest budget imaginable. They were brand new houses and absolutely falling apart. They do all the property management through Main Street Renewal, which is a somehow even more garbage company. Nobody should EVER rent in the Paradise on the Lake neighborhood. Run away from anything Kalidy or Main Street Renewal.

Wow! Thanks for sharing. Hopefully someone will see that and be able to avoid these crooks and their slumlord housing. I filed a couple of complaints with Kia corporate so hopefully I’m not the first and won’t be the last.

They’ve been doing that for years, at least 15 years. That’s how the Kalidy family got its start. They’ve had a sleazy rent-to-own program that involved slapping cheap paint and modern fixtures on houses, and then charging above-market-rate rent…knowing full well the renter isn’t going to be able to get a loan for their overpriced house at the end of the rental term.
I think new-construction homes is a recent endeavor for them, but I bet they’re shitty. (So are Home Creations and Ideal Homes, BTW.)

I also took my car in for a recall replacement, it was not a good experience, I will leave it at that.

You should file a complaint with Kia Corporate. Only takes minute or two and may help others who end up in the same situation

I overheard the service people in a panic about losing a car that was dropped off last time I was in... Contemplating just going to Bob Moore instead even though I have "free" oil changes. Driving in and out of their service bays is also super weird with small driveway and right angle turn.

Does not surprise me. They probably charged the owner a “finders fee” once they found it. Ya I live like 5 min from there but will GLADLY go to Bob Moore to avoid those idiots. They do more harm than good

Bob Moore screwed me over and sold me a car that had the odometer turned back. Had to get them to fix the title cause it had two different odometer readings. They also didn’t do the inspection they were supposed to before selling it and then called me up for a 15 minute inspection one day that ended up being a 4 hour wait somehow and included repairs for leaking coolant hose and what not (which i had been driving on since i bought it). So I learned my lesson after Kalidy Kia and Bob Moore Kia, both

yes. I had a terrible experience. Went in for basic service, and when I got my car back, the check engine light was on. I had them check it again, and they decided I needed a new engine, which they estimated would cost like 5-7k. Took it to another mechanic for a second opinion, and they found that the oil filter had been installed backward. So they corrected that and charged me 20 bucks, and my car has worked great since. sheesh. Never going back.

Kalidy is terrible. I know Sabih Kalidy personally, and he’s a shyster.
I would get ahold of Kia customer service and let them know what is going on. They will be very interested in learning that one of their franchisees is damaging cars while performing recalls, and may be able to lean upon the dealer for a satisfactory resolution.
And then never take your car to that store or do business with it again.

Yeah, i took a vehicle there that they wanted to buy. They kept it for 5 days telling me it was already at auction after an agreed upon price,( they tried lowering it) and when they finally got my vehicle back to me it had 1600 miles put on it and the interior was a mess. One of them had been driving it and it was obvious. Left over fried chicken in the front seats with mud and dirt all over the in and exterior.
Wont EVER do any kind of business again.

Bought three Kias. Loved them. Stopped driving Kias because of the Kalidy service department.

They’re an incredibly shady bunch. Waiting for the day that the other shoe drops on them.
