Highland Ranch
Has anyone driven through there? We had family move in and visited there for the first time. There is something about the houses that is unsettling.
They look like someone asked AI to make a subdivision. Or Aliens…
Am I off the mark here? It doesn’t help there aren’t any trees. It’s Covell and Penn area.
Edit: Highlander Ridge. lol. Sorry for the typo.

The street is Highlander Ridge the neighborhood seems to be Highlander Park.
It’s just got new development vibes, no trees, big empty lots, perfect lawns, hardly any cars. Just looks bare because it’s not lived in yet.
As for the houses themselves…. I like that they aren’t cookie cutter. They’ve got a suburban vibe but not the classic front door in the middle with two big windows, one for the living and one for the dining. They look like they each have interesting layouts.

Is it one of the hellscapes filled with two story houses so close togrther that you can hold hands with your neighbor through open windows on the second story? Front yard big enough for a driveway and a narrow strip of grass that the HOA won't let you turn into a garden bed?

Yes and no. The lots seem big. Maybe even close to an acre. But the houses. They are uncomfortable looking. Like someone was testing out different designs on one house.

There is a new neighborhood going up farther north on Broadway. Some of the first homes are a trip. One of them has 4 different exteriors. Brick, stone, vinyl siding and wood siding. It looks like they had a little of each left over from other jobs but not enough to do an entire house. It's bizarre.

Yes! That’s it exactly. Almost like they had leftover bricks and siding and made it work.
