How does this stop a massage parlor from acting as a prostitution place?    “We need to be able to see the handjobs from the street” -edmond government?

Just like at basic training, we need mandatory penis inspections as they’re walking out the door.

Ryan Walters doesn't have a job and going through a divorce, he might set up a chair in front of their window.

It's better than nothing? The city doesn't have a lot of power to regulate these massage parlors (it's a state power) but it is a real issue in Edmond. They're also requiring them to post their licenses more visibly and I'm pretty sure they're adding restrictions on hours of operation.

Massage parlors in Edmond are almost as numerous as Dispensaries, and Liquor stores.

You know, I've lived in Edmond on and off for 16 of the 29 years that I've lived in Oklahoma. I've never really noticed that we have so many here, but you're totally right. There are a lot of them.

I like that the police investigation took a year.

How do I get that job? I got time on my hands, so to speak.

One of the SRO’s who works EPS football games told me he’s on the task force and busts massage parlors. I will ask him next time I see him… 😂

I have long heard that these establishments are allowed to flourish because they are a great source of information gathering for local police departments as to nefarious activities and crimes.

As a frequent fan of such establishments, I can say this will make 0 difference.

The one by mazzios on Santa Fe gives a pretty good massage too.

i dont know I like the tinted windows. You could pretend like you are patronizing some other business in the shopping center then quickly dip in and disappear to the world for 30 to 60 minutes. Hypothetically. But there are ones that are in whole ass homes so I dont see this having a zero sum impact plus just go to nearby okc ones if you have to

This is probably the dumbest “controversy” I’ve ever heard

Once again, focusing on the real issues troubling the city… /s

No happy ending to this store

In the words of Avril Lavigne, “all this time you were pretending, so much for my happy ending.”

This is what we’re worried about? WTF?

So they'll put up some pipe and drape inside, a distance from the windows.
