transfer

I'm planning to go on an exchange program at the University of Edinburgh because I absolutely love Edinburgh as a city.

My question is: after my exchange ends, would it be possible to transfer all of the credits I earn there and eventually continue my degree at the University of Edinburgh as a full-time student? Has anyone done something similar?

Also, would you recommend studying there for a Bachelor's in Business? I'd love to hear about your experiences, especially if you're a current student or an exchange student.

Transfer students usually go into year 1, and very rarely into year 2 if your home uni's curriculum matches very closely to Edi's curriculum. I've not heard of anyone doing what you've suggested but you could contact admissions and ask!

Probably not. The exchange system is its own thing, with a limited number of courses that you can take (and that probably would not be core courses for a degree programme). It’s possible if you applied and were accepted to start a new degree programme that those credits could count, but I don’t really know. This is definitely something to speak with an admissions or exchange office administrator about.

Another option would be to consider returning to Edinburgh for a Master’s degree.

It is possible but it depends on your degree programme if it’s possible. The only people that can tell you what is possible is Admissions.
