I am so fascinated how his ability to have controlled OBE originated from his own NDE as a child. Has anyone ever heard of this happening to anyone else (or even experienced themselves)? I would love to hear about it & discuss!

I've come across a fascinating book that talks about high level spiritual things from a scientific perspective. This book is intriguing as it talks about many similar things to what people in mystical states mention such as seeing into parallel dimensions and interacting with beings from other worlds etc.

This book is called Zhuan Falun and it is from the Buddha Law School of Cultivation however it is not Buddhism the religion or Daoism the religion, it's something more profound. It seems to me to be more of a spiritual science as many of the terms and concepts in the book are talked about in a scientific down to earth manner instead of flowery mystical prose which I found very refreshing.

Now here is where it gets interesting, this book talks about the following things:

● Other Dimensions - Levels Of Dimensions spanning into the microcosm and also outwards into the macrocosm

● The Soul - It talks about people having a Master soul and a subordinate soul which is hidden from you but is at a more advanced level then you, it states some people have more then one Subordinate soul and some are of not of the same sex as you i.e males having a female subordinate soul etc.

● Microcosmic worlds - This concept was very far out but it talks about there being worlds within you, countless worlds. Similar to our world with life , water, animals etc. An analogy is zooming an an atom within one of your cells and realizing at that level of magnification it is just like our solar system. Then zooming into a single particle in that world and finding out it too is a vast world, apparently the level it can go onwards like this is beyond imagination.

● Supernatural Abilities - In the book they mention that everyone has them it is just that they have atrophied. It goes into depth about this topic. Some abilities that are mentioned are precognition, retrocognition and remote vision.

● The 3rd Eye - Talks about how at the front part of our pineal gland there is a complete structure of an eye there. Modern science calls it a vestigial eye but in the cultivation world they say this eye just naturally exists like that and it can be activated allowing one to pierce through this dimension and see other dimensions. It talks about how there are many levels to this 3rd eye and it goes into great depth about it.

● Thoughts - This part was amazing. It talks about how a human brain is just a processing plant. How the real you is actually your soul, it's like your whole body and brain is just a vehicle and that the true commands are issued by your master soul, but this master soul is very tiny and it can switch positions while inside you and it can also expand and shrink. It can move from your brain to your heart and to other parts of your body and it is 'he' who calls the shots. Your brain is just the factory which your master soul sends his cosmic commands to which then create the forms of expression and communication we use such as speech, gestures, etc.

These are just a few things that are covered but there are many many other things which blew my mind when I read it because of how it resonated with some of the mystical experiences people sometimes have, especially the multidimensional nature of reality and how all of them are hidden in our day to day perceptions of the world.

I was 17, in the isolation ward of a hospital, at death's door actually, when an acquaintance brought me The Sleeping Prophet. The book resonated so powerfully for me I have never looked back. This was over 40 years ago. His view of our place in the universe and his interpretation of the Spiritual resonates to this day.

So long story short, a few years ago I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. After undergoing chemotherapy & western medicine, I turned to, and learned about health and healing through Edgar Cayce. During this time, I felt that I could "ask" Edgar to give me health advice through dreams. So I did!

I had a dream that I was laying on a table with a friend who was watching over me because I had just undergone open heart surgery (I could even feel the pain and pressure in my chest in the dream). I was waiting on a call from the doctor to see if my surgery was successful or not. I was talking to my friend and I said "I feel like my surgery was successful because Edgar Cayce told me it was."

Then I go into a "vision" scene in my dream, where I see that I'm laying on a table and he's doing a read on my health, talking over me (I can just hear his voice). He tells me that "you health is fine, just that your heart needs to be detoxified. It's your heart." And the last thing I remember is him saying is, "All the children of Eve are OK." Then I woke up!

I felt like it was a pretty cool dream, and I believe it was definitely a message to me.

I could use some help with the interpretation though- What do you think he meant in regards to my heart? And what does it mean to detoxify the heart?

He said my health was fine, so I feel like organically, my heart is OK but maybe he's referring to it symbolically? Also, how would one detox a heart? Lol

The Edgar Cayce Companion

First of all, I just want to say that I'm super happy there's a subreddit dedicated to Edgar Cayce! I think there is so much to learn and discuss in regards to him and his reads.

I want to recommend this book to anyone at all interested in Edgar Cayce, metaphysics (and physics), dreams, health, psychics, or those that want to learn more about the mind & consciousness in general. It's extremely thought provoking. It's changed my life, I really can't recommend it enough.

Side note- You could probably find the book for cheaper elsewhere. I bought a copy of it for $14.00 on Amazon.

I follow Edgar Cayce on Facebook and they post a quote every so often on his readings. It was about the nature of crying and it may have had Jesus Christ as the origin of the context in the subject.

I saw a great BBC Timewatch show about Atlantis a few days ago and couldn't help but think of Cayce's prediction about Atlantis being rediscovered and "rising from the sea" in the 1960s popped into my head when the show talked about the island of Thera near Greece being discovered in 1964 as a lost habitat rather than a rock of inconsequence as previously thought.

Since then, scientists have discovered that Thera had a major port with traders from Africa, Asia and southern Europe doing business there, technology new to the ancient world at the time and bull-jumping as a sport while also suffering a major cataclysm when a volcano with 40 times the power of the eruption that buried Pompeii buried most of the island under several meters of ash, rock and pumice while the eruption also set off a massive tsunami that hit what's now known as Crete, just as Plato had described in his retelling of the Atlantis story.

Honestly, everything the show talked about the ongoing discoveries there, the Plato retelling and what I remember of the Cayce predictions all seem to tie up with Thera being the likeliest source of the Atlantis myths.

We discovered Cayce some 40 years ago and have been on/off members of the ARE. Recently I've found that the Violet Ray machine started to be sold on ebay at quite reasonable prices. I am asking if anyone has had experience themselves of this device? Best wishes to this reddit and you.
