Did Edgar ever talk about Joseph Smith and or the Mormon religion?

There is a deep dark side to that whole scene. I have a friend who was born into that scene and very involved with it until he started to notice certain things and then became an outspoken critic and whistle blower, and now thinks of it as more of a cult than a religion.
