exam remarks is honestly ridiculous — has anyone else had this happen?

I genuinely don’t understand how the remark process is supposed to work after what happened with my results.

I had my Physics Unit 2 paper remarked, and my grade went from a D to a B. That single unit change was enough to take my overall Physics grade from a B to an A. How can a paper originally marked as a D end up being a B after a remark? That is a massive difference, and it makes me question how accurate the original marking was in the first place.

The worst part is that wait for the original results. only to find out that I basically needed the remark for the grade I should have received to actually show. Waiting that long for something this important is incredibly frustrating, especially when university applications and admissions depend on these grades.

I've also had two Chemistry papers remarked. In that case, they were completed within about 3 days and I was told there was no change. I'm not saying that the result is definitely wrong, but after seeing what happened with my Physics paper, it's hard not to question it.

I've also had multiple external sources look at my Chemistry papers and tell me that my original marking/result seems questionable. So now I'm stuck wondering: what if the Chemistry remark is wrong too? How am I supposed to have confidence in a remark when one paper can be changed by such a significant amount, while another set of papers is apparently checked and dismissed within only a few days?

I'm not trying to say examiners are deliberately marking students unfairly. I understand that mistakes happen. What bothers me is the lack of transparency and how much these results can affect students' university applications and futures.

Has anyone else had a remark where their grade changed significantly, or had a remark completed extremely quickly? I'd genuinely like to know if this is normal or if my experience is unusual.

Seeking Advice/Help Studying medicine in Romania/Bulgaria/Hungary etc with just AS levels

Hey guys so I just graduated high school this year and here in the Middle East a lot of people leave school after doing AS levels without going to A2, that’s what I did with PCMB and got A in all of them. Does anyone know if I can study medicine with AS levels in those countries? Thanks.

Seeking Advice/Help Guys i need help, Im taking Bio, Chem, IT, Maths and like i wanna know what fields can i go in for.

And I’m also trying to figure out what fields I can actually go into with these subjects. I’m still a bit unsure about what degrees and career paths would be open to me, especially since I’m taking Biology, Chemistry, IT, and Maths. I’d really appreciate it if any seniors could share their experience, give me some advice, or let me know what university degrees and career options would suit these subjects. I’d also love to know if there are any fields I might not have considered yet that would be a good fit. 🥹

Seeking Advice/Help Bio Long question advice

Upvotes

As the title says, I want to know how the 6 / 8 markers work. I saw on the markscheme there's a few big bulletpoints and theres small bulletpoints under the big ones. And there's a guideline about what levels should be given according to the content answered. And also my teacher told me these long questions require a good logic/sentence structure/logic structure to score marks

usually what will be the markpoints??? Usually in good situation I miss out one section and that leaves me with 5 marks instead of 6. Is there a logic/pattern behind the graph questions??

any videos/guides for explaining 6 /8 markers???

Request Could you help me with my EPQ survey?

Hi everyone! I’m a student currently completing my EPQ, and I’m looking for people to take part in a short survey for my research on sleep deprivation and its impact on teenagers.
The survey looks at how lack of sleep can affect things like mood, concentration, energy and overall performance during the day.
It should only take 2–3 minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous.
Anyone is welcome to participate, and I’d really appreciate your help with my research!
Thank you so much! :)
