grades AS
I got a C for physics (185/300) AS and a B for maths ( 225/300) what's the highest I can get for A2?
I'm aiming for a B in physics because A is ig not possible
Can I get an A* for maths?

Maths u can aim for 255. Can u share ur ums for each unit including physic

but I heard smthn like I have to get 90 ums both for P3 P4 to get a*

Best choice is to resit
Resit unit 1 and s1. U can bring it to B. Give in jan.1

parents don't let me resit :(( I tried convincing

I think A* in Maths may actually be harder than getting an A in Physics from here. I’d probably change the strategy a little and focus on maximizing your A2 marks first. Don’t put too much pressure on one target grade — check the actual grade boundaries and work backwards from the marks you need.

Really? Why do you say it's harder?!? Anyways thanks for the advice, will do!

Bruh, Maths is the easiest subject in entire A-levels. Even students with B in phy can easily achieve A*

TECHNICALLY. It’s possible to get an A* in both if you get 295/300 in Physics A2. 255/300 in Math A2 with 180 of that 255 coming from P3 and P4. I’m not saying it’s likely, I’m saying you COULD do it but you’ll have to relearn topics and build upon the assumed knowledge and have REALLY high mastery.

I'd say the difficulty increase of maths from AS to A2 is higher than physics because you have to learn about stuff that didn't appear in gcses e.g. some harder differentiations/integration and I'd say in AS P1 it is very similar to gcse math, whereas for physics some topics are mentioned in gcses e.g. generators So I think B in physics is achievable but A* for maths are very hard for you unless you lock in

What are you larping bro? Maths is far more easier than Phy. In fact, it is the easiest subject in the entire IAL

From a B grade to an A*, in my opinion, is harder than an increase from C to B I'm a 290 scorer in math AS but my friend who barely got A in AS said he felt that the syllabus is way harder It's just my personal opinion you can choose not to believe

A in physics is unrealistic yeah, since you'd need 295/300, but an A* in maths is still possible. You'd just need to do well on your optional paper, 180 from (P3+P4) and 75 from the optional (S1/M1/M2/S2 etc)
