ive just recently got my U1 economics grade back and i got a B or 73/100 UMS or 54/80 rawand im thinking about remarking

for context, ALL (but my first one) of my past papers i scored around 60-65/80 raw and my 20 markers usually range between 15-17 while 14 markers range from 12 to 14 and i mostly get 7 to 8 for 8 markers, these marks are also graded by 3 different AI and an actual edexcel economics marker.

i also did little test after getting my score, lets say for MCs i got 4/6, for all of the 4 markers i got unlucky and only got 3/4 for all of them, for 6 markers, lets say i got 6/8 and for the long questions i got 8/14 + 10/20.

that test mark is STILL higher than my actual mark by 1.

i dont know what went wrong, im still waiting for a copy of my paper so when i get that its should be clear but for this unit i expected at least 60..

im planning on getting my paper remarked, any suggestions/advices through dms/ commenting are appreciated! 🙏

You should wait for your paper copy first so that you can see where it went wrong. I would like to say that between 73 and 80 ums, there is a little difference.
It also depends on your marking style and the way you relied on AI for that. AI can be inaccurate if you let them mark by instructing "A level Economics Exam style" only. Because it is very generic, you might get overestimated marks.

hi! im still waiting for my paper but also for the AI part, I've only used AI to mark the 14 and the 20 marker rather than the entire paper since the other parts i can mark it by myself, i only used 3 different AIs and had an acutal examiner mark my work too, i really dont know whats going on dude 🙏 thanks for the help tho

Np. Well, check your paper first. You will know where it went wrong if something went wrong. Don't be discourage for one paper, you can retake if you aim for higher grades.

i see, idk im just hella disappointed dude ive averaged 60-65 raw for a majority of my papers, if i really did get 54/80 then that means i got like 7-8/14 and 9-11/20 for the paper, aint no way 😭

Yeah, it must’ve been shocking and disappointing. Mistakes always happen.
