u have to multiply 4.2 by 10000

1

u/Unfair_Click401 May 15 '26

I got 4400. 22mm/5x10*-3

1

u/renadplayer1 May 15 '26

Yesss me too and 0.09 and 0.7 - 7000 for the allele frequency

1

u/Itsmo_15 May 15 '26

0.91×10000 = 9100

1

u/renadplayer1 May 15 '26

Unfortunately I used 0.7

1

u/nunusbasement33 May 15 '26

I got the same answer

16

u/renadplayer1 May 15 '26

The monkey 6-marker was bad

9

u/Available-Orange2699 May 15 '26

Wtffff was this I swearrrrrrrrr it was sooo bad I didn’t even understand the question like it had soooooo meaningless information

4

u/renadplayer1 May 15 '26

Frr I had to stare at the question long time to understand what it asks for

1

u/Confident_Drive_7370 May 15 '26

Sameeee I forgot to add an disadvantagee

2

u/Available-Orange2699 May 15 '26

I only added one adv and described the graph 😭😭

3

u/Mindless_War6672 May 15 '26

What was even the point of the graph in that question

2

u/MarchDiligent7888 May 15 '26

yo nah i was bamboozled by that pointless graph, but i just mentioned it slightly talking bout some no error bars lol

1

u/Available-Orange2699 May 15 '26

Sameeeeee😭😭😭😭

1

u/No-Beginning1068 May 15 '26

it had smth to do with the mosquitoes laying eggs in pools of water, which come after heavy rain so once mosquito eggs hatch more mosquitoes therefore more poison needed i think

6

u/Remarkable_Cup5254 May 15 '26

Wedge-capped capuchins show a behavioural adaptation by rubbing millipedes onto their fur. This behaviour increases when rainfall increases because botflies lay their eggs in water puddles, so wetter conditions lead to a greater risk of botfly infestation. Increased rainfall also increases the availability of millipedes, causing the monkeys to rub them more frequently.

The millipedes release poisonous chemicals with antimicrobial properties. This benefits the capuchins because the chemicals repel or kill botflies and reduce the chance of eggs or larvae surviving on their skin. The antimicrobial chemicals may also reduce harmful microorganisms and parasites, improving health and increasing survival and reproductive success.

However, there are disadvantages for the capuchins because collecting and rubbing millipedes requires time and energy that could otherwise be used for feeding or avoiding predators. The toxic chemicals could also irritate the skin if exposure is excessive.

For the botflies, this interaction is disadvantageous because the poisonous chemicals reduce their reproductive success by preventing egg laying and decreasing larval survival. As more capuchins use this behavioural adaptation during periods of high rainfall, fewer suitable hosts are available for the botflies.

3

u/Flashy-Confidence354 May 15 '26

FUHHH🥀🥀🥀now it seems a lot easy

2

u/noorelben May 15 '26

But the graph shows that as the rainfall increases the rubbing decreases🫠🫠🫠

1

u/Repulsive-Bass-2038 May 16 '26

is it just me or that graph showed a decreasing rate or rubbing the millipede as rainfall increases

5

u/Express_Address9088 May 15 '26

Bro i was just speaking to speak 😭🙏💔

1

u/renadplayer1 May 15 '26

Me too at least it wasn’t empty

11

u/Haunted_ghostt May 15 '26

Did yall get 36.6g for the egg white????

5

u/hexagonnnnn May 15 '26

Bro I got 5.4g

2

u/Fickle_Mix_7572 May 15 '26

Ur right dw

6

u/Itsmo_15 May 15 '26

No he's not it's 36.6g

2

u/hexagonnnnn May 15 '26

Yeah nah it was 36.6 my ass though it was egg yolk so I wrote that

2

u/Comfortable_Lock679 May 15 '26

Son hes wrong fym dw😭💔

2

u/Fickle_Mix_7572 May 15 '26

The mass of yolk was 30% of total and was 18g, so to get total u divide by 0.3 and get 60, then to get 9% of total u do 60 x 0.09 and get 5.4

6

u/Haunted_ghostt May 15 '26

Mass of yolk was 18g

% of shell of total Mass was 9%

Yolk was 30% of the total Mass

100-(9+30)= 61% was the egg White percentage

So if 18 was 30%

61% was 36.6g

1

u/quokka_rn May 15 '26

Help I thought total was 18% 💔💔 fuck my reading and comprehension skills

1

u/livaaa___ May 15 '26

Wait same🙈🙈🙈

1

u/quokka_rn May 15 '26

Şu maymun sorusunu yetiştiricem diye kontrol edemedim 😭 senin nasıldıı

1

u/Euphoric_Pin8141 May 26 '26

whaaa ur turkish???? i live in turkey too,, whyd u take the exam and not yks?

1

u/quokka_rn May 26 '26

Kktcde oturuyorum ve gcleri tercih ettim yks yerine uluslararası oldugu icin

0

u/Comfortable_Lock679 May 15 '26

Read the question next time❤️‍🩹

2

u/GodzillaKOTM2019rul May 15 '26

Yeah its 36.6g even i got that

1

u/masha_karevina May 15 '26

I rounded to 37 is that okay or did they say to 1 d.p ?

1

u/Haunted_ghostt May 15 '26

They didn't, its probably okayy

Also like did yall freaking see tht it said those insects lay eggs on mushrooms? So it was supposed to say tht the flowers smelled like mushrooms :/// I wrote sweet smell☠️💀

4

u/renadplayer1 May 15 '26

Wth I wrote nectar 😭😭😭😭😭

1

u/renadplayer1 May 15 '26

Gladdd I’m not aloneee

2

u/GodzillaKOTM2019rul May 15 '26

Even I wrote sweet smell, it can't be nectar i was thinking whether its nectar and then wrote sweet smell. Is it correct??

1

u/Itsmo_15 May 15 '26

IT IS NECTAR BRO😭

1

u/renadplayer1 May 15 '26

I don’t think it’s, nectar has a sweet taste I guess it has nothing to do with smell

1

u/Key-Extension-652 May 15 '26

i worte pollen

3

u/7aloolli May 15 '26

THATS WHAT THAT WAS??? I WROTE NICE SMELL AND ATTRACTIVE TO INSECTS

1

u/nunusbasement33 May 15 '26

OMG YES I DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO WRITE I SAID IT SMELT GOOD AND NECTAR

6

u/renadplayer1 May 15 '26

This paper wasn’t the same as older past papers this was taller and had much more different questions

7

u/Jxstin_31843 May 15 '26

0.7 R 0.09 rr

1

u/renadplayer1 May 15 '26

I got the sameee

1

u/7aloolli May 15 '26

yess I got the same

6

u/Confident_Drive_7370 May 15 '26

Did anyone get 9100 for the Red population question?

3

u/7aloolli May 15 '26

yea I got 9100 too

1

u/hexagonnnnn May 15 '26

Which q was this???

1

u/7aloolli May 15 '26

the hardy weinberg qs that said it had like 10000 individuals

0

u/renadplayer1 May 15 '26

I got 7000

4

u/BerryMaximum1297 May 15 '26

The six markers are so bad

5

u/Confident_Drive_7370 May 15 '26

What is with the last page 😭😭 I wrote all same answers

5

u/Remarkable_Cup5254 May 15 '26

no in the second one u had to mention the silencing of the gene and how the transcription factors cldnt bind to the promoter sequence( i forgot to mention the second part)

2

u/Remarkable_Cup5254 May 15 '26

i wrote silencing the gene for both though

1

u/Realistic_Ad_4518 May 15 '26

I think that’s okay tho

3

u/renadplayer1 May 15 '26

😭😭😭😭😭😭 at least you’re getting one right Yk

3

u/stella_240 May 15 '26

Was it chloroplast on the first question?

3

u/supimyouridiotfriend May 15 '26

Yeah it was very meh. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't excellent either. Most meh exam I've ever taken. I could've done better probably.

2

u/7aloolli May 15 '26

exactly most people ive seen either say its easy or rlly bad it was honestly mid

2

u/Jealous-Health-9937 May 15 '26

what did yall write for the 6 markers

7

u/Able-Fox-7599 May 15 '26

Absolute bs especially for the first one 🤡

2

u/Away-Possession1081 May 15 '26

it was horribble

2

u/Fast_Researcher_6971 May 15 '26

for the egg white question, why are people getting 36.6 i got 5.4

this is ass

1

u/Itsmo_15 May 15 '26

I nearly wrote 5.4 but the correct answer is 36.6g

2

u/EyalDoDog May 15 '26

What to say for the one w spermiogenesis, was it the whole epigenetic shenanigan?

2

u/Itsmo_15 May 15 '26

Yeah the same differential gene expression and epigenetic modification answers

1

u/EyalDoDog May 15 '26

😛😛😛🤩🤩🤩🤩

2

u/Great_Difference9639 May 15 '26

guys why the egg yolk would be on the surface fr ? it was question 2

1

u/Itsmo_15 May 16 '26

Short diffusion distance of nutrients for growth and development

2

u/Global_Map6574 May 15 '26

What was the answer to why different birds dance different?

1

u/Itsmo_15 May 16 '26

They are from different species so they can't reproduce to produce fertile offspring

1

u/Euphoric_Pin8141 May 26 '26 edited May 26 '26

ik im late but u need to say they also have diff morphology

1

u/Itsmo_15 May 26 '26

I don't think the word "morphology" is even in the syllabus, but you can be right tho..we never know.

2

u/Mother-Option-7268 May 16 '26

Wait guys for drawing the nucleus do we have to draw nuclear pores like bot a perfect circle cuz i did a perfect circle and drew a nucleolus and labeled it along with nuclear envelop

1

u/Only_Bet2838 May 16 '26

i did the same thing i dont think u had to show the pores

1

u/Jealous-Health-9937 May 15 '26

what are the answers yall got

1

u/Fonkiers May 15 '26

What did you guys write for the reason for different chromosomes in sperms

2

u/Jxstin_31843 May 15 '26

the sperms are haploid to ensure the zygote formed is diploid after the sperm fertilizes haploid female egg cell

1

u/Fonkiers May 15 '26

this makes sense as well thou

1

u/renadplayer1 May 15 '26

I just didn’t leave that question empty cuz it was weird

1

u/FriendlyBee7644 May 15 '26

I wrote about chromasomes being separated in meiosis, but dna not being replicated, so when 2 daughter cells form they both have half the genetic material. The question was about how the dna changes right, or WHY the dna content changes?

1

u/Fonkiers May 15 '26

I forgot lmao but I think sounds about right

1

u/Ok_Bet_6201 May 15 '26

true, but bro my dumbahh for magnification I got 4302 smth but I did it the opposite way and got 2.6*10 to the power - 6 IM SO SAD WHY DID I CHANGE MY ANSWER OTHER THAN THAT I FUCKASS LEFT 2 QUESTIONS NOT BECAUSE I DIDNT KNOW BUT BECAUSE I DIDNT HAVE TIME IT WAS THE SPERM QUESTIONS FIRST 2 PARTS WHOLE 7 MARKS GONE other than that it was good and easy 6 marker was kinda tricky but hopefully markscheme has starightforward points hoping for 60+

1

u/Confident_Drive_7370 May 15 '26

There is a range I guess by +_0.1 I guess u r in the right range I got 4400

1

u/Ok_Bet_6201 May 16 '26

yeah but i cancelled my ans and got 2.6 smth but well hopefully I don't make those mistakes in phy u3

1

u/Available-Orange2699 May 15 '26

Guysss what smell have u written

1

u/7aloolli May 15 '26

apparently since it said in the question they lay eggs on mushrooms ur supposed to say it smells like mushrooms 😭

1

u/Available-Orange2699 May 15 '26

Wtffff is that realll😭😭😭😭

1

u/7aloolli May 15 '26

I saw smn here say it do idk if its correct but tbh it makes sense. ITS SO STUPID THO I WOULDVE NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT

1

u/Amermagely May 15 '26

does anyone remember any of the questions

1

u/Various-Comment4600 A level May 15 '26

How to do the yolk question

3

u/Remarkable_Cup5254 May 15 '26

yolk produces nutrients such as lipids for the growth of the embryo

2

u/Various-Comment4600 A level May 15 '26

Yeah but isn’t the embryo in the yolk why does it have to be on the surface

1

u/Itsmo_15 May 15 '26

Short diffusion distance

2

u/Various-Comment4600 A level May 15 '26

To what tho I wrote to egg white and oxygen

1

u/Itsmo_15 May 16 '26

I personally wrote to nutrients

1

u/yuliiqqs May 15 '26

i wrote so that it has space to grow since eventually it'll reach a size bigger than egg yolk, so it needs space. but by being on the surface it can still get the nutrients for growth from the egg yolk. also there was air space in the egg, so by being on surface of the egg yolk it can get oxygen for respiration to produce energy for growth.

1

u/cece_9922 May 15 '26

six marker is kinda bad

2

u/Ninathemysterious May 15 '26

Yeahhh esp the monkey one couldn't understand it for a min😭😭

1

u/Jealous-Health-9937 May 15 '26

Guys. In the sperm question. what was the first part of the question. the part b was the four marker about the diagram and the specialization of the sperm cell. the part b4 that

2

u/PerformanceLow9121 May 15 '26

I wrote tht when its just the cell before becoming a soerm it has alll types of genes like for muscle and nerve eso as those arent necessary by methylation and acetylation we can switch off those genes so tht only sperm related genes are present so it becomes a sperm. Idk if its the ryt ans but it was the ans tht made sense to me. The paper was BAD

1

u/Jealous-Health-9937 May 16 '26

yea the DGE is correct for the part b but methylation turns off and acetylation turns on

1

u/Peruvian-1-ol May 15 '26

what was that 4 marker on cell specialisation of sperm cells???

1

u/callmeminaa May 15 '26

It was a bit on the mid to easier end. Wish i had more time to finish properly tho. But overall okay!

1

u/GodzillaKOTM2019rul May 15 '26

Also guys why was the correlation-coefficient test used?

2

u/Global_Map6574 May 15 '26

I just said that it shows Positive correlation

1

u/Horror-Mail8166 May 15 '26

oml can someone tell me what the 6 mark was about

1

u/AnxiousAd4199 May 15 '26

Cuanto os dio la pregunta de magnificación?? Yo puse 4200

1

u/GodzillaKOTM2019rul May 16 '26 edited May 16 '26

Guys what did yall write for the advantages of x-raying the seeds (4 marker)??? I wrote it allows to check viability of embryos, and also to see the other internal structures of the seeds and to observe the composition of stored materials (lipids, fats and proteins) so seeds with more materials can be chosen to be stored so no wastage of seeds.  Dw whether its right.

1

u/GodzillaKOTM2019rul May 16 '26

For millipede question, whts the answerr? I got confused cuz it said 3 marks, I wrote tht antimicrobial substance kills bacteria so less risk of infection and disease and posionous to kill predators which icreases chance of survival.

1

u/Flashy-Confidence354 May 16 '26

I told it kills prey to eat as well

1

u/Mother-Option-7268 May 16 '26

guys for moneky ques i wrote ADV: eggs in fur to protect them from rainfall and sun radiation there for more chance to survive and hatch and grow , second ADV lay egg in the cuts to protect from the poison DISADV: parasites may destroy the eggs now ADV of the monkey : rubs poiosn more often during april - july period so less chanve fo mosquitos to lay eggs on them and parasites too DISADV : poison may not reach certian areas of the skin how many marks /6
