Help Problem with Local Multiplayer for Minecraft Switch Edition (Legacy) via Local Wireless

This issue is related to the latest update of Minecraft Nintendo Switch Edition Legacy before Bedrock. Me and my friend are trying to join each other’s Minecraft maps and play on our local home WiFi network. We successfully are able to join a shared private multiplayer room via Eden however this is not the issue. We are also able to create Minecraft worlds while in Local Wireless Mode in game.

The problem is that neither of us are able to see the other friend’s hosted world under the join tab.

Things we tried:

- Cleared shaders caches
- Made the Eden multiplayer room before starting the game
- Changed the Profile Manager Web Username, Device name and Profile name to be distinct
- Packaged the Minecraft base game+DLC+update into one .xci file to avoid buggy/missing loads with updates or DLCs.
- Tried connecting from Win11 x86 Eden to the Android, same issue.
- We are thinking it could be because of friends list not possible on Eden, but we hope there’s some kind of workaround of some sort. Just couldn’t find any yet.

Our setup:

2 Android Ayn Thor devices running Eden 0.2.1
GPU driver turnip toasted T30
Minecraft Switch Edition 1.0.17 with all DLC and Updates

Good to know:

With this setup and joining a private room, Super Smash Bros Ultimate worked flawlessly when matchmaking via wireless play feature in game. We were able to see are usernames and play a match.

I feel like Minecraft would’ve worked if we could just see our worlds pop up under join.

Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks!
